so in a trip home, i was treated to two and a half hours of unedited home videos. for the forty five minutes that my four year old self was on screen, i was silent for about forty minutes of it, just doing weird things in the background while my sister took care of my screaming/wandering brother in the foreground. i remember dutifully piling sand just to stomp it flat. also eating snow. apparently i was totally into connecting with nature. i also remember smelling grass.
