Mine That Bird got lucky, it was a down year for three year old males in 2009. He finished last here. It sucks, in 2009 MTB didn't win a single race after the Derby, same with 2010 KD winner Super Saver, and Animal Kingdom didn't win the Preakness or the Belmont.

mine that bird got 1 call and ended up last what a form reversal i think this race is why he got a ride to sunland park glad he made fools of his previous owners

Can't believe this guy was sold to the middle east...don't expect him to come back in the same shape as he was when he left...they have a strange way of training and running horses in dubai...wouldn't be suprised if he doesn't make the derby

Exactly right, he hurt himself. The attrition rate of 2yo contenders is incredible, only Pioneerofthenile is any sort of a contender at all now.

That would be great, but its been too long since we've heard from him. He hurt himself and won't run in America until at least April, and is off the TC trail. April 4th should provide some clarity for the contenders, with the Wood Memorial, Santa Anita Derby, Illinois Derby, and Ashland Stakes being 4 of the 7 major preps.
