havent played forza 4 yet with a non ferrari, but the fact that i can get realistic time at tsukuba with a mr2 supercharged, as well as good snap like in a real small car is why i like it.
Been playing Forza 4 after getting an xbox360 just for it. I've got GT5 on PS3, but couldn't play it much because of the loading times and boring simulation.

A game recorder is used for GT5 and a regular 12 mp camera for the other, if you ask me there is some bias. If you care more about the graphics then why not just go on a real car?
I see lots of comments stating "it's not fair to pit GT5 against FM4 because GT5 is a year older than FM4, so FM4 has an advantage of being newer". Well GT5 fanboys why didn't you guys think of that when you compared GT5 to FM3 earlier?

Well we can go on arguing, there will be no end to it.. but i have only one final opinion: Both are good and bad in their own manner. I like GT5's tracks more coz they feel more dramatic n realistic, and when i feel like customizing a car or playing crash-for-fun i boot up FM4. Part 2 - the only bad thing about Forza is that they put the LP560-4 in the Limited Edition...HOW COULD THEY DO THAT..They did however put a 08 Yokohoma Lamborghini Gallardo LP560-4 in the market place for 300Microsoft points

GT5 is horrible because not all cars have the same graphics as the premiums and that's fucked up but I do like the modes. However FORZA has better sound by a LONG shot and Forza has this game online ''Car soccer'' which you have to download from market place but its FREE so it's all good. All cars only bought with CR points which is AMAZING and all cars have amazing quality.
Forza 4 has the new layout of the Test Track because of the Kia Cee'd. GT5 still uses the one from the previous Reasonably priced car. (Yes I know the track itself is still the same but the cones and barrier have been widened for the new Reasonably priced car. Even Ben Colins (Sacked Stig) noticed.
@Sampyla20plus here is the problem I own both games and I have owned a Ferrari f430 and a 430 scuderia. Gt5 feels like gt4. Forza 4 may not be perfect but it's far better than gt5.

@Videoonlineplaza WRONG, FM's cars arent recorded from REAL cars like in GT5, LEARN the difference by getting an driving license, go at Ferrari Dealeship and take F430 for Test Drive, you might learn how it DOESNT sound anything like in Forza (Just an example)
If you really like cars, theyre both fantastic. i have both, ive leveled to 68 in forza, and in the 20's for both a spec and b spec. they both have their upsides and downsides, i find what aspects gt5 does well are incredible, whereas shortfalls ( car list) are dissappointing. i find that forza is overall a bit more pollished, but it has a lot of tuning issues. im just excited for both on the next gen consoles :D
Gt5 Looks slower paced and the driving doesn't seem as realistic, more arcade-ish. The position of the cockpit view is better in forza and the sound is definitely better. Not to mention the turns are totally inaccurate for this track on gt5. And why no capture card for forza>?

Check GT5 official reality check. And then the Forza 4 video is recorded from E3 and there is no PVRs avaible to record.

And I can see the driving realism because the car in Gt5 doesn't tilt to the side at all when steering or bob up and down while shifting. And I can compare the sound because I've played forza long enough and have seen enough Gt5 vids. Forza just sounds better to me.

And Forza looks fasters because they make tracks longer than their real life dounterparts (trick to increase sense of speed). And the car in GT5 tilts, if you know. The car in FM4 is just has higher suspension, and therefore tilts more.
And why do you thin GT5 is called a simulator? Because it is!

And btw I heard a long time ago that 800 of gt5's 1000 or so cars don't even have interior views. And those 800 generally have worse details and crash graphics. F4 has over 500 cars with full detail on each even on cars no one cares about such as the 91 GMC Syclone Pickup..

I have been behind gran turismo my whole life. After playing the forza 4 demo: since I recently just bought a 360; anyone who knows anything about cars and racing will say that forza 4 definitely sounds and looks better than gt5, but it still can not drive like gran turismo. Simple as that. It comes down to personal preference. This is why I will be buying forza 4 real soon. No different than the rivalry between battlefield and modern warfare.
i've played both thease games... enough to say that gt5 is more for simulation and fm4 is more to have fun with friends. what is play enough?... got the x1 in gt5 and im level 68 in fm3.
so if you want clean racing play gt5 or if you dont mind play fm4.
In all honesty forza 4 looked shit in this video and i have totalled about 2 weeks total game playing time on forza 3, i dont mind sayin that gt5 is better thann forza but only in this video, forza knocks spots of any sim BUT forza is a more common title, Gran turismo had its golden years when i was younger with GT3 and 4 being amazing, now people waited so long for GT5, now its come people have settled for forza because its always been there making improvments whilst GT5 took the piss to come!!
Look people forza is good for a more arcade style of racing not a simulator but half and half. It has good sound that isn't always real. but it has a wide selection of cars. Gt5 is for the people who want a simulator with real sounds, real everything. That's what gt5 is meant to be. Forza is fun for a quick sit down and race I have played both and I am not a fanboy. Quit your stupid fights. Enjoy the fact that we have our amazing racing games and sims. I love both for there different qualities.

this video is crap, gt5 is filmed via software of the actual game, forza's has been taped using a camera looking at a screen in what i imagine is a games release/press event a guy actually walks through the line of site, and the screen is tinted by the room and camera, so is the sound, so naff!
From someone that has played both games throughout Forza 4 is MUCH better than GT5 as a whole. GT5 is less forgiving however and provides a more realistic simulator. To think that GT5 is as realistic as actual driving is idiotic though.

People need to think before comparing games.. It's easy to say things like: "Forza owns", or "GT owns".. Both games have its pros and cons..
I think both games have great graphics.. Forza has that sick details in autovista, and GT has beautiful cars and lighting.. Shadows in GT5 are shit, in forza its better.. GT has high fidelity courses, and I've seen some horrible tracks in forza (compared with the real ones).. I have played only GT5, so I don't know the feel of Forza, but should be similar.
@GrinDosso Also, the complexity of each game is always overlooked. The shadows look all pixalated in GT5 indeed, while in Forza they are more clean and clear, But, the fact that GT5's shadows are dynamic adds another level to talk about. So comparing both game's graphics are very difficult. Would forza be able to handle day/night transitions? Would the shadows be all blocky if they were dynamic? These are the questions. I Appreciate your personal review :)

And EA tries to ruin it by claming copy rights on Porsche so Microsoft can't put them in the game. EA sucks beause insted of making GT better then Forza they just take cars out of Forza. I have been behind gran turismo my whole life. After playing the forza 4 demo: since I recently just bought a 360; anyone who knows anything about cars and racing will say that forza 4 definitely sounds and looks better than gt5, but it still can not drive like gran turismo. Simple as that. It comes down to personal preference. This is why I will be buying forza 4 real soon. No different than the rivalry between battlefield and modern warfare.

so if you want clean racing play gt5 or if you dont mind play fm4.

In all honesty forza 4 looked shit in this video and i have totalled about 2 weeks total game playing time on forza 3, i dont mind sayin that gt5 is better thann forza but only in this video, forza knocks spots of any sim BUT forza is a more common title, Gran turismo had its golden years when i was younger with GT3 and 4 being amazing, now people waited so long for GT5, now its come people have settled for forza because its always been there making improvments whilst GT5 took the piss to come!!

Look people forza is good for a more arcade style of racing not a simulator but half and half. It has good sound that isn't always real. but it has a wide selection of cars. Gt5 is for the people who want a simulator with real sounds, real everything. That's what gt5 is meant to be. Forza is fun for a quick sit down and race I have played both and I am not a fanboy. Quit your stupid fights. Enjoy the fact that we have our amazing racing games and sims. I love both for there different qualities.

this video is crap, gt5 is filmed via software of the actual game, forza's has been taped using a camera looking at a screen in what i imagine is a games release/press event a guy actually walks through the line of site, and the screen is tinted by the room and camera, so is the sound, so naff!

From someone that has played both games throughout Forza 4 is MUCH better than GT5 as a whole. GT5 is less forgiving however and provides a more realistic simulator. To think that GT5 is as realistic as actual driving is idiotic though.

People need to think before comparing games.. It's easy to say things like: "Forza owns", or "GT owns".. Both games have its pros and cons..
I think both games have great graphics.. Forza has that sick details in autovista, and GT has beautiful cars and lighting.. Shadows in GT5 are shit, in forza its better.. GT has high fidelity courses, and I've seen some horrible tracks in forza (compared with the real ones).. I have played only GT5, so I don't know the feel of Forza, but should be similar.

The shadows look all pixalated in GT5 indeed, while in Forza they are more clean and clear, But, the fact that GT5's shadows are dynamic adds another level to talk about. So comparing both game's graphics are very difficult. Would forza be able to handle day/night transitions? Would the shadows be all blocky if they were dynamic? These are the questions. I Appreciate your personal review :)
