Or better yet it may have been more "necessary if either destroy killed nene or absorbed him but either way the battle was fun but easy as he did not start until he was getting low on hp

@84moogle the dragons, that one tree, king poo and gold mecha robo are all a lot more difficult. you'll want a nearly-maxed out party to take on gold mecha.

i found Shadowus sword a good way of dealing high damage onthis guy when i was about level 49-53. i lost my patience wth him a fair bit but using shadowus sword & quickus is effective.

Just beat this game last night and honestly, he was pathetic to fight. Hit him 4 times with Shadowus Sword, 3 hitting for over 4700+ and the last one hitting for over 12k lmao.

this boss on the hardest difficulty is actually a bit of a challenge, even for my team of all level 99s with maxed out shadows, he just hits like a beast

I love this boss' stance. With his arms folded, looking absolutely evil and unimpressed. Sadly, I was also over-powered and offed him after he attacks only once, making the whole dramatic reveal and epic boss music feel silly and ironic.

Lost Odyssey is pretty good, if not insanely hard. Well, for me anyway... But that's just another reason I like it. I blasted through Blue Dragon each time I played it. I've yet to finish Disk 1 of Lost Odyssey.

Fun boss to fight, but HIGHLY unnecessary for the ending of the story. The only time he is mentioned in the entire game is in Mural Town, and that was in disc 1. Most people would have forgotten those paintings, and they wouldn't have needed to fight this boss to be satisfied with the game's ending. They could have just made Nene stronger.

tl;dr, Destroy would make a better optional boss.

no im sorry your wrong he was mentioned in the old mans house in pashes(not spelled wright)town which was in disk 3 he makes a good boss for the ending because there making it so that the 2 chances they say will remind them ong thats the guy from mural valley or the town when they did mention him the 2ed time it was for them to remember he would not make a good optional boss in my opinion where would you start this is also the best setting for him hes always on nenes sholder cant be optional

Also, if Destroy was optional, he wouldn't necessarily have to be Deathroy. They could have been two separate creatures.

I wouldn't say that, I thought he made a good twist, and an enjoyable final boss battle. I don't think it's fun, to fight the same Villain, you have over and over again, and have it end as the final boss. NeNe and the characters had connections to the ancients, so it's only fitting that the final boss be the very thing that destroyed their civilization.

Destroy was better off as the final boss fight because he was the most powerful biomechanical weapon (i think. its been awhile since i played this.) making him a great final boss. also he wasnt just mentioned in Mural Town he was talked about throughout the entire game, just not actually mentioning his name. also you can see more of those paintings in the ancient ruins (WAY at the beggining of the story), Mural Town, and Pachess town.

well if you have 99,999 hp for yuna rikku and tidus, and do 99,999 damage with just a single strike;). the final boss is a bit lame aswell considering you cant die, fighting all the summons was a nice little twist tho.

final fantasy X was a bit too easy, but still one of the best, second only to VII

Being overleveled in the last area is so godly. I was able to breeze past all the minibosses/bosses without them even landing a hit on me lol. Now to get class level 99 for every class >.>
