Didn't like the sound of this at all tommy. Hopefully once the kidney is alot more settled she can begin to get on with life as she deserved to able to in the first place. I suppose if nothing else, she will always look after her body when this nasty business is over. That might pay massive dividends over her peers in the long run who got it for free.
yeah try and sue them. Do a bit of research or phone a solicitor to see if you have a case. The story is pretty scary. we usually trust doctors, so when they say everything is fine and then it turns out its very very wrong, it just turns you upside down!
