@Dradogs2 Characters are slightly altered in each new incarnation. Super Ken's shoryuken is on fire, travels further and hits three times (HF Ryu's hits only once). Also, Ken's hurricane kick is faster, hits multiple times but is significantly weaker than Ryu's (which, again, hits only once). HF Ryu throws fireballs with less lag. However, ST Ken and ST Ryu differ big time.

SF3 Daigo couldn't use fireballs so we get an insane pressure, mixup, and punishment game. I fully respect his skill.

SF2/SF4 Daigo: Hadoken/Tiger Shot ad nauseum. Opponent either jumps or dies by chip death. Opponent gets tired and jumps in. He gets an uppercut for his trouble. Repeat till end of match.

I think any tournament that uses the Hyper Turbo game on PS3 and Xbox (SF AE in other words) allows Super and Super Turbo (SuperT) versions of characters only.

It's a defensive gamplay. Most of these fighting games which are played by experts, prefer to be defensive. Since the other player was not going to attack, sagat uses tiger shot to make the other player come. Once they screw up making a bad move, an uppercut, or any punch would do. Rinse and repeat. Every fighting game has something like this.
