The fact is, they haven't and I for one, could not give a tuppeny shit about the R&RHOF BUT I do want recognition for them from somewhere. Chronepris5, it was Slade that jumped on the Skinhead bandwagon at the behest of their manager , Chas Chandler. Slade were never happy with it cos they were essentially a rock band. And skinheads in the late 60's as with 'proper' skinheads today are not right wing racists, they embrace black music, reggae. Do a YT search for SHARP.

@crowhillian58 Fortunately they did not go into reggae etc. Just not their thing I guess. I don t think Chas Chandler did a bad job. I have never seen them being unhappy. They have evolved to one of the best bands of alltime and had they gone to 'black' music, the supurb episode in the eighties with the gospel/anthem style ballads etc. would have been missed too! I am enjoying the fact that they chose the right direction almost everyday, playing Rogues Gallery and Boys make big Noize.
