  • @kalifson blabla blabla

  • Is it at all possible for anyone who is black to be credited for their work without someone, somewhere making another individual usually white being credited for it's existence? No Cobain or anyone else did anything for Leadbelly. He needs no recognition from these people, his own people lauded him, he doesn't need these foreign votes of credibility, Try as they may to play blues, it ain't workin blues is a way of life they know how to inflict, not live.

  • @kalifson ...black and white... bla bla bla, ... just shut up and listen

  • very touching. I tip my cap to ya gentlemen of the blues. blessed love

  • This is an AWESOME video. True black and white blues! Lead Belly.

  • Very cool tribute to one of the Americas greatest. Thanks for posting that video. You guys sounded great!!

  • black +white in perfect harmony at huddies grave thats how he wanted it ,and exactly how it should be ,take note you new rap n hip hop promoters of death +destruction pick up the banners that real blues men +women carried for so long to get you a voice in this world ,,,,STOP THE HATE ,,,,AMEN

  • @honkydudeman couldnt have said it better sir!! amen to that!

  • way to go guys!!

  • Hahaha this is great

  • If Cobain can be bothered! The difference is that Leadbelly had it tough! Cobain wanted us to think that he had it tough but was really an ungrateful attention seeking bum who showed contempt to anyone who wanted to help him. No sympathy....sorry.

  • @shellovski Cobain was showing respect to Lead Belly when he covered his music in his live mtv performance. No one else in mtv history has ever done so that I am aware of. And furthermore he was murdered because he refused to serve the "machine" anymore. He was anything but a corporate robot.

  • @rich2rock - He was certainly not a 'corporate robot' and fair play for Leadbelly to the attention of Nirvana fans. My point was that Leadbelly had a tough life, some of it his own fault (prison spells) but Kobain never had it tough and when he did, it was his own doing. Can you imagine Cobain working on the chain gang? Or working anywhere for that matter?

  • @rich2rock - I meant for 'bringing' Leadbelly to the attention of Nirvana fans....

  • @shellovski I guess that could be said. I just believe (in my own opinion) he truly did not get the credit he worked for in life. He was too young to die. And none of us today had it as bad as black people in general back in those times, or could imagine. It was a shame to this country that happened and had support of it at all. Cobain lived in a $100 a month apartment LONG before he bought the house in the neighborhood of Bill Gates. Being under the corporate gun is hell enough I suppose.Peace.

  • @rich2rock - it wasn't even as bad over here in the poverty stricken factories and mills of Lancashire. People may not have had any clothes but at least they had a home to call their own and no fear of being beaten by their so called 'masters'. Thanks to Leadbelly and others like him, we have a medium to unite us even when we live thousands of miles apart.

    Bless

  • Damn boy, you CAN pick a little...lol...watch out for those possums!

  • What a fantastic tribute to a great pioneer!! Right on guys! Fine playing as well!
