hey dave, latest on my news is the hospital don't believe the tuma or fluid on the brain is the cause of my problems, as went there on Monday, so they have put me down to have about 15 other tests to be done, to try finding the problem.
I bet most of the tests if not all come back in conclusive like they did last time. either that or weren't tested for everything.
like this time should be going for an mri scan as well.
Hi David, soz, just seen that you posted this video, as my listings only shown me the other video.
yeah I agree, if the work isn't there, to get back into trucking, and wait for the next oppertunity to venture off, hopefully the next one will be the silver lining story.
like they say if you let chances pass you by, then your stuck in a dead-end job. or you can take the risk, and hope for better things.
Tried to leave a comment on your main page, but couldn't. Don't take this the wrong way bud, but I think you looked wiped out man. You don't seem happy at all. I couldn't give up the open road. Hope it works out for you, but you don't look happy.
I must admit i would love to see you back into trucking, but this is your life, none of us, your friends can tell you what to do, but we can support you on any descion you mate!
Dude, sometimes i will sit and watch all your videos over and over again, They all are truley amazing! I am sorry to hear about the situation you are in. But as newfieguy said, Are you sure you dont want to get back into trucking?
Do you think because you had so high hopes for this new job, that your thoughts havent change on the subject?
Hi LC, Im sure that I dont want to give up on this dream. Im so close I can almost touch it! I cant believe you watch my videos over and over again! Thats truely amazing! Im touched. Thankyou :)
Hi, im sure that you dont want to give up, but you need to look and plan for the future, what will be best in the long run? what ever your choice, your fans will stay right here, and yes, i do watch them over again, they are amazing, im just waiting for the day i see you films on the tv haha:)
This is a beautifully told story emotional and meaning full. Of course all your production work is amazing you got the MBL down my brother and excellent use of a autopan tilt, what kind are you using wired? no? Take care brother.
He Steve, yeah its wired. I didn't have the coin to invest in a wirelss one. Baby steps man, baby steps. Learn the cool equipment cheaply, then get into the pricey stuff! Thanks for the comments man, I always look for your comments on each video, you are my youtube hero dude!!
Ran out of room on last post...I only have one question for ya. Are you sure you are not capable to get back in the seat again or is it that because you had such high hopes and dreams that you dont want to get back into it. I know in my heart that everything will work itself out for you. Keep us updated and once again, best of luck to you my friend...best of luck!!
Hi Todd, I am capable, sure, I would drive truck again if it was the difference between poverty and chasing a dream. But the dream is so much in my graspe right now that I refuse to step back and let it slip by. Thankyou for the best wishes friend, stay safe out there!
Hey Dave...I know how you feel. I was begining to wonder the same things at my current job. Things were suposed to pick up right at the new year and it didn't. Took almost till the end of the month...no money, no nothing!! I guess I got lucky and we are back full time again. If I could give you one piece of advice....go with your heart...it seems to lead you where you need to be! If you have to pick yourself up and brush yourself off...then thats what you need to do. Best of luck to you!
You put so much emotion in your videos and I love it!! It's really touching, and it should be!!
I wish you all luck, whatever you do!! It's very hard to say what you should do though.. I guess I would stay another week or two, and see what happens.
If you leave, do u think that u can go back to ur old job?
Thankyou hosatosa! Im glad that you enjoy the emotional side. Thank you for the good luck wishes my friend. How is the winter trating you in Sweden? Im positive that I can go back to BFS, who wouldn't take a guy back that gives them amazing free advertisement!
Compelling, honest, clean. If the best way to move forward is to do a little rock step back, so be it. Like Texolot said, just keep stepping. My crystal ball says you will look back on all this one day and be glad for the record of these tough times. You done left, and are going big. Very big.
Hi Anna, I looked at your profile and see that you are a lover of black and white films. Perhaps I will make film noire type video in your honor! Thankyou for the awesome comments!
Awesome is as awesome does! You have talent to burn, my friend. The honour would be all mine re: a film noire pour moi!!!! B&W is a trip - was just watching Roman Polanski's "Repulsion" again recently. A-mazing.
No doubts, you are on your way. (This from someone who once a) lunched w/ F. Fellini in Rome, and b) got down to a roll of pennies a few coins! Hang in there!)
I wish I could say or do something to make it better but, as Tex said on one of his podcasts, "Hi, my name is (whatever name you choose) and my job sucks".
LoL, I know man, its true. I appreciate your empathy. Its not so bad, just went through a lull in demand out here. I think that things will be better starting this week!
dave, ur episodes are always so captivating!! if it dosent work out there head back to big frieght for another year or so then things should be better and u can do the things u really want to do, sometimes dave u just gotta hold on a lil longer to get ur dreams, stay strong...im a huge fan
Hi vx! Thankyou so much! You're right, if need be I can go back. Its an option that I have considered, more so lately than ever. But I think I got nervous and started to freak out a little bit. Patience is something that I have struggled with my whole life. Things will be ok. Thankyo for the comments vx, take care!
I know how you feel David. I have been laid off for about 4 months now. And I am in the constant process of looking for a job. Good luck to you in whatever you decide.
Don't give that license in your pocket the full right off. I am a master electrician and going into trucking because construction is in the tank. I invested 6 years in school of some kind to get where I am at, now in order to support my family I am going to truck for a living. That is the great thing about trucking, everything is brought by a truck so truckers will always have work. Keep your chin up and if you have to truck for now, do it until the economy comes back then chase the dream.
Hi gtf, you did what you had to do to survive, and you did what you had to do to support your family. That is truely very noble and Im happy for you, but I have a question. In your heart, you want to be an electrician, not a trucker right? You see where Im at. I CAN truck, but thats not where my heart is. Thanks for the comments and good luck OTR. Stay safe brother!
1st off, I gave this 5 stars before it loaded to watch. The series from 7:07 to 7:49 was totally off the hook. That was the absolute COOLEST thing I've seen in I don't know when.
My advice: Just keep stepping. As the Texas singer-songwriter Max Stalling once wrote: Dreamings your 1st step, 1 steps where your journey begins.
Thanks Tex. The shot from 7:07 to 7:49 was done with a Hague Auto Pan Tilt head. It pans 360 degrees on auto, or I can attach a remote and pan/tilt the camera without jittery vibrations and movements. I miss my toys, I had to leave them all behind. I don't even have a tripod out here!!!! Just the camera!
As for your advice, much appreciated. I've learned that I could be working by next week, which will be nice! Thankyou for the best wishes Tex, means a lot :)
69 thanks. Your optimism is comforting. I have heard that I may be working by monday, but thats a big 'may'. God I hope its true. When things melt is when they stop working for breakup. I have like 1 month left (unless theres pipeline work) in this season.
I guess the grass is always greener, huh? After blowing a tech interview really badly all I want to do is drive a truck, knowing that truck driving...especially the compliance part (gaah!) is as involved as what I do. I like to think we're still at the beginning of this recession so if you want to make a move do it now. Here's hoping this leads to an even better opportunity.
You could be right sm1else. I sure hope not though. Im sorry your tech job didnt work out. You know that trucking is not just trucking, thats good. Theres so much more involved than just driving a truck eh! I'll decide in the next week what, if anything, I'll do from here. Thanks for the comment :)
Great Video, sometimes a step backwards allows one to see a new path that was hidden beforehand.
I can't wait for the day while watching a movie, the credits roll across the screen, and I tell everyone in the theater, I knew that guy before he was famous! REALLY I DID!
Haha, thanks G. I hope it didnt come off as whiny or too emotional, the youtube audience likes to slam me for that. I appreciate your metaphor. I'll stick it out a little longer.......I need to bank another $3,000 to buy a new camera!!!
I wanted to get a Canon XH-A1, but its a few thousand dollars out of my price range. I discovered the Canon XL-2 and researched it. It is an amazingly complex and very 'film-like' platform. It has built-in features like follow focus, timelapse, works wonders in low light/extremely high light saturated shots. It retails for about $2500 US, about $4000 Canadian (currently) so that is what I am saving for right now.
I have found some really good deals online I will either be getting the xh-a1 or the xl-h1s.. I can get the xh-a1 for cheap. Check out ontimedigital(dot)com
i fill for u whit out a dout.... its hard not knowing if the work is coming in.... we have it the same way here in sweden right now... load count is going down and lesser fright is going out... but it will get better and i hope u dont do any thing u regreat in the end... good luck and ceep those vids coming... ur in my preyers/ truckerswe from a cold sweden over seas
Hi truckerswe, ever thought of trucking in Canada or the U.S.? I used to work with drivers from Sweden and they love it here. I know that the European markets are hurting badly, I wish you the best, and a quick recovery friend. Stay Safe.
good luck. i think what is meant to be will be. I finally got the courage to go trucking. haha even though i just held my cdl for 6 months. Sent you a message about it b4 so guessing you remember. haha. i really do think the best will be..keep us udated.

what program are you using to cut?
looks like you're using after effects or something
i am puzzled by how you pan and zoom, while you're infront of the camera...
