This actually honestly disturbs me somewhat, that people can believe that things like Minecraft and Pokemon are demonic. It's frightening that people can take the most innocent children's games and accuse them of evil without even bothering with violent games like Mortal Kombat. I love all video games, but if you're going to label a video game as evil, you might as well use a game that is violent and gory, rather than a game that even 6 year olds play.
If something is so addictive that it gets people to stop doing another personal activity, then well, that other activity has to provide a better selling point to stay relevant or survive the competition. A distraction from religious activities does not make it inherently evil, it's only very good at competing with the activity. The rules of competition in a free market can be applied to recreational and personal activities.

I would just like to say that I am a Christian and I play Minecraft 24/7 with my friends who are pretty hardcore Christians as well, I also watch and play Pokemon on occasion and yes they are a distraction but they have been no threat to my faith.
