  • Watch this on mushroom and get Brain-Orgasm like never before in your life.

  • @midmid sounds like the ultimate trip!

  • Good stuff......

  • das war das geilste audiovisuelle erlebniss meines ganzen lebens!!! :D danke fractalzooms

this was the coolest audiovisual experience of my entire life!!! :D thx fractalzooms

  • I was wondering: what kind of monster is rendering all of this? my CPU with 3GHz take ages to make even a crappy zoom

  • @sasusumasu alot of these fractal zoom videos can take several minutes to render every frame

it takes longer the deeper you go, because it takes more iterations to view

  • It is obvious to me that our very Universe is fractal in nature and nothing but a little whirl on the tip of an infinite set.

  • LOL

  • How do you get the fractals tto go on forever? Do you have a really really really big jpeg?

  • @Goldbloodeddragon

They are calculated and rendered on the fly.

All the processing power in the Universe could not compute and hold the entire set as deep as this zoom goes, in fact it is billions of times larger than the known Universe.

  • @Goldbloodeddragon that was a cute question:)

  • @Goldbloodeddragon - It is an equation within a program that graphs it. Here's something I found but haven't tried: fractalsciencekit [dot] com

  • @Goldbloodeddragon fractals are mathematical images created by looping the same simple equation into itself several times. this is why you see so many repeating patterns. any fractal is infinitely complex, and the level of complexity that you see is defined by the number of times you loop the equation within itself (or iterations). every single shade of color represents one iteration. by the end of this video, images may have taken millions of iterations and hours of rendering time per frame

  • @jeremiah1499 indeed. The final frame alone took 74 hrs to render! 20,000,000 iterations - fixed point precision (832bit calc) -

  • @fractalzooms such effort and patience deserves more than 3 thousand measly views.

  • @jeremiah1499 Thank you for your kind comments! - also thank you for answering some of the questions people ask in the comments - I wish I could reply to them all but it is an impossible task.
