  • From the Marc Bolan show.

  • Er, Derwood that is!

  • Mark Laff could give either of the Jones boys a run for the money in the lead guitar sweepstakes. So sadly under-rated, imho.

  • I love the sound of a Rickenbacker 4001 bass-guitar!!

  • Loved this lot. Loved them. But good grief, Tony James used to hit big bum bass notes all the time!

  • This is from the Marc Bolan show, 1977.

  • yes,of course,I forgot that Bolan championed punk via his tv show, can't remember if he had the Damned on aswell but he did a gig or two with them.

  • Yep the Damned did a full tour with him as I remember, in 1977, they certainly supported him at manchester Apollo anyway ! Gen X were a cut above the rest in my book but dismissed as lightweight and manufactured by the likes of even the Pistols and there was no band more 'manufactured' than them, no matter how great they were. Even The Clash were told what to wear and what to say in the early days. Gen X were great live cos they could 'play', something else that made them un fashionable !

  • Billy's T shirt was also the design of the single of "ready steady go backed with "No No No blue molded chrysalis label. How much is that single worth now

  • Anything from £20-£40 in British money.
