I am not new to monster hunter, I have an HR of 51, and have not played in months, I want to start getting addicted to MH3 again by using a bowgun. What would you reccomend I do first, get good bowgun armor, or get a bowgun? I would want to do a light or medium bowgun, and have no idea what to get, what would you reccomend?

Man you're awesome! I love bowguns but i don't have tri :'(. However, I think I do prefer the folding stocks of the freedom series... Keep hunting

I wonder why they took the bow and arrow from monster hunter freedom away. I thought it was gonna have the same weapons but new ones on monster hunter tri. Welll thats really disappointing.

wich bowgun do you use??

i have a royal bowgun ( i used it much)

and a qurupeco ( used not much)

i usely like the light bowguns because you can run with the weapon

@m4gicaltears but its very low on atk, you can make a gun with a shield so you don't have to worry about running or dodging

@m4gicaltears well some barrels have some don't, it will say shield on the right side in green, but to be honest i have seen gunners with the best armors/weapons and in the end they are the only ones that end up dead

@m4gicaltears ye, i started a new account and ruined that one too!! but now (thankfully) on my third go, i created an account im happy with. Im on the 4 star missions on offline and am having trouble beating rathian and gigginox so i have to go online. i do not think you can finish the offline mode without spending some time online

@sitem91 that's definatly not true. i can't play online with my wii, so i had to do it all the way offline. sometimes it was pretty hard, but you can do it.

it looks like hes using pellet shots n a quru stock n jaggid frame but cant tell want the barrel is o wait here here its on monster wiki the barrel is the bazooka.

That's my one problem with Cha Cha. He gets between you and your target too often and soaks up your bullets.

What kind of ammo did you use in the first part of the battle? And in the second one?

1 of them is pellet ammo which hits more than 1 monster at a time and i dont know about the other

well im not really sure because in the english game its the same ammo but different ammo holdings

@wohont77 yeah i thought it was pellet ammo, i suppose there's a different ammo holding because of the ludroth armor, which allows you to hold more pellet ammo at one time

@dylanwelshproduction Because he changed to a different ammo, and his weapon only holds two bullets of that ammo. Apparently he changed to a level 2 Pellet.

Good job, glad to see someone using the Bowgun like a pro, too many people are spamming the hell out of Crag/Clust. Pellet seems like a great alternative to those "standard" methods, cheaper, more shots per clip and crowd control.
