No ... but you are their cousins (certainly linguistically). And incidentally the arrival of the Turks (Chepni Turkomans initially) into the 'Karadeniz region' as you put it, is very clearly documented. They didn't find an empty land. It was inhabited for many many centuries by Greeks (and Laz in the eastern extremity) with their distinct culture and music which you have now 'borrowed'. BTW you can find the exact recipe for 'baklava' in a 5th(?) century BC Greek culinary text.
