any one who knows hendrix and is a huge hendrix fan knows that jazz was a big part of him... especialy knowing that his drummer mitch was an increadable jazz drummer. Mitch style drumming is very jazz related. Sax deosn't go but great job.
Cool...That looks like the Digitech Jimi Hendrix Experience pedal...I got one too...the Octavia effect on there is great and so is the Star Spangled banner setting
Wonderful Hendrix song, good arrangement with Traffic-like kind of sax, doing some guitar liks, but the lead singer was wishing she was at home. Nice job, anyway.
@RudyKronfuss don't forget, that hendrix was extremely interested in teaming with miles davis in the early days of fusion, but was unable to do to the restrictions of contracts etc. hendrix was definitely looking for something new after the experience and gypsy sun and rainbows had both dissolved, so he continued on with band of gypsys and then the end
Jimi's last jam was with Eric Burdon's band at Ronnie Scott's club in Soho London, the night before he died. I'm quite clear about that detail, I was aged 15 and a fanatical Hendrix fan when it happened. I still haven't got over it.
He nearly played with Miles Davis. A recording session was lined up, but, so I heard, Davis demanded $50,000 dollars up front. This was refused, so they never quite played together.
hendrix was an anal composer as much as he was a legend with the guitar. This song is an embodiemnt of the 'Experience's' work. A real pinnacle in the pyshcadelic movement.

Joni liked jazz but more blues but that Asian lady and the sax just kills the mood jimi is trying to put

It's a nice cover but for me the sax doesn't work for a song like this. kind of takes the raw edge away if you know what I mean.

love the song, but the sax here just irritates me, rainy dream away is fine with a sax. but anyway great cover

um. lol. somebody should slip that singer a hit of acid and then try again.

oh my dear god
i cannot believe i'm watching this
i don't think there is human language to define what i'm seeing in this video
its like a Howard Philips Lovecraft Envisioning, ensnared by the Shamanistic Incantations of the Interplanetary Traveler Prophet: JIMI HENDRIX
the only reason i didn't give this video 10-stars is because you're missing about 17 musicians.
i think this song could be done as an Ochestral

Hendrix = NOT JAZZ!

Dear ffh8666,
seems you have never heard "Rainy day dream away", Oeps...and even Hendrix himself was heard on a public saxophone they say...

Hendrix was also jamming with Miles Davis right before he died. Hendrix was so much more than Rock. You would do well to recognize that.

Hendrix never jammed with Miles Davis but miles wished that they could have after hearing machine gun

What a ******** tragedy.
PS this video is really excellent, five stars.

@ffh8666 Hendrix = Jazz. Hendrix loved Jazz, he even played Fusion Jazz himself. You can hear jazz reference in Hendrix's songs.

@ffh8666 yeah man.... jimi even uses flute in some of electric ladyland tracks. RnR is not boxed to fuzzy guitarssssssss
