  • cliff gallup johnny meeks and beck ,,perfection , only thing missin is the king gene vincent

  • muito gostoso de ouvir =D

  • Jeff Beck shouldn't really play rockabilly. He should leave a lead guitar to Higham who is one great rockabilly lead guitarist. Beck has a hard time to keep in tempo on this one, you can hear he 's too late on the licks.

  • @moriscengic no he is not my friend...this is how the song is played....listen to jeff beck cd called crazy legs it's a homage to cliff gallup........and jeff is great on it.........it is a shame though that we didn't hear more of darrels superb playing on this dvd

  • what's the strange thing on all Beck's Chorus ? you can hear a second chorus line !)

  • The guitar Jeff is playing is a Gretsch Duo Jet 1955 6128 with factory fitted Bigsby (nowadays equivalent would be Gretsch G6128DSV with the stationary Bigsby handle and fidelatone/dynasonics pick ups). The orange guitar at the back by an amp is a Gretsch Chet Atkins G6120 (could be original 1955) with Eddie Cochran mods (gold paint scrapped of the back of the pickguard and Gibson P90 neck pick up instead of fidelatone/dynasonic pick up).

  • the guitar is a Duo Jet the famous 6120 is blonde with a shape more like a Gibson

  • @BCblaster1 the original Gretsch 6120 chet atkins is orange with western decor, hollowbody 16" width. The later 6120 (90's 2000's) come in different colours.

  • Superb...darrel higham rocks and its about time he got the recognition he deserves as a great singer and a brilliant guitarist.

  • @redfestiva it's a Gretsch 6120 with the Eddie Cochran modifications. The Gretsch duo jet is not a real solid body guitar. The body of the guitar is not plain.

  • Just to make sure on this.....it's not a Stray Cats number!!!!!, it was recorded by the mighty Gene Vincent & the Blue Caps [1956] - Cliff Gallup on lead guitar [a Gretsch Duo-Jet], who was Jeff's prime influence. As with most of Vincent's second album, Gallup was playing through Grad Martin's Standel. DT

  • Double, Double talking !!!

  • Great use of a Stray Cats song!!

  • @Steamaddict1603 Sorry pal this is a Vincent /Gallup song

  • Its a gretsch not a gibson

  • Look at Jeff playing that Gibson Black Beauty. And he's dusted off his pick! Haven't seen him use one for ages.

  • another great one from the show . the DVD is to be released feb. 22 '11 . GIT IT !!

  • @rukusband can't wait

  • World Class Rockabilly! The whole show is awesome! Darrel Higham at its best! Greetings from Hamburg
