I like to think, if the original Mother took off like it did in Japan in other countries, there would have been similar adverts with a kid and an adult in a cafe but based off different cultures.

hahaha It was a pain in the ass defeating Belch! I didin't know I had to use the jar of fly honey and so I had to level up my characters and go to the butterfly room that was near there heheh I leveled them so much so when Poo joined the party he was TOO weak hahah

I heard that if you use a game genie for the SNES than you can play import games.

It wasn't that it was import, I just didn't have a super nintendo at the time...all you have to do is break off a couple tabs in the cartridge slot to play super famicom games

1. buy a retro duo (it plays sfc games)

2. open up the snes an remove these 2 tabs that block japan games

yea even tho sfc and snes us games are the exact same INSIDE, inside the cartridge slot there are 2 tabs that are basically region lockout tabs. if u remove them, the sfc games fit with ease

Copyright issues. Apparently MOST of the songs in this game were actually ripped of fro other songs (ex:The background music for Moonside has a sample from the Ric Ocasek song, Keep On Laughin) otherwise nintendo would have released this by now. Another thing is; In SSBB there was a MOTHER 2 demo in the "Masterpieces" section but they took it out in the american version. People think that NOA is ashamed of earthbound..)

Goode"), an enemy was modeled after Salvador Dali's "Persistence of Memory" (a.k.a. "Dali's Melting Clocks"), the Tonzura Brothers were a parody of Saturday Night Live's Blues Brothers, one truck's side decals parodied the Coca-Cola logo... and I dunno what else.
