Nice cymbal entry, used something similar myself recently, very nice recording but I like the tron only version better. I wouldn't say this on the list but do you think the Mark VI sounds a bit different to the M400? Maybe just a little smoother on the string sound or is it just all those CM10s still out there and used for most of the recordings we remember?
@Hufftalbot I wouldn't say smoother. The MK-VI and the david/Markus tapes are very bright sounding. My MK-VI tone control is at about 25% (10 o'clock) most of the time. When I use Streetly tapes, I can run the tone control at about 12 o'clock. I've heard that there are M400's that need this type of EQ adjustment as well.
Well my tone control is broken, I think at maximum brightness as mine sounds very bright indeed! Can't be bothered to fix it so use the equaliser on the mixer instead. I think all tron output needs a lot of EQ adjustment and messing about with generally!
