  • Nice vid and that was a pig!!!!!! But 8lbs? I really don't think so.

  • @tallfishman100 more like 3.5-4

  • Pretty sure this is pearl jam?

  • hunterfisher took the words right out of my mouth 8lbs. my ass

  • haha 8 pound bass haha u my friend r not good at judging weight thats about a 3 or 4 but nice vid anyway nice fish

  • haha,i got a fly rod this year,i caught a 6 lb. bass today...on a foam spider...

  • @fishnkid1923 what collor did you catach your 6 pound bass on

  • a white foam spider, white body, white legs...i was fishn for bluegill and i must of casted right on top of him,he just came up and sucked it in

  • Love it!!! Those are some huge lunkers! Great music too! Thanks for sharing!

  • lol, no way, i saw this video once last year, love this video for some reason, good work..

  • i have never fly fished so somebody please answer this. why is fly line so huge?

  • Hi saginawriverfishing! The line is so thick because you need something with a little more weight than a small fly, to be able to present to fly to the fish. Most of the flies are rather weightless or semi-weigthed, wich means you need the flyline to accelerate to a hard stop and roll out, with the leader, to the fishes.

  • so the line is so big because it has to be the casting weight, making up for not being able to have a "sinker"? that's cool. but ive seen fly line that is like, really thick, and yellow. wouldn't they see that?

  • Well, the thicker line you use, the heavier it is - therefor you must use a heavier rod, (6 to 9weight). The line is connected to something called a leader, that is a thin monofilament/nylon piece of strain that you tie your fly on to. The leader is practically invisible in the water, making it harder for fish to see depending material used. If you want to learn more about fly fishing and its content, there's plenty of helpful videos on here. Happy fishing!

  • the weight of the line is what carries the fly out.

  • bcuz the fly as no weight, so you use the weight of line + casting to get it out there.

  • The line is so thick and heavy, so it's easier to get out on the water. :)

  • @SaginawRiverFishing its larger then normal line becuase its weighted and not the lure most fly lures are extremely light. you should try it out its really interesting

  • that bass must taste delicious... i would clean it, make some little cuts on the side (that way the salt goes on the meat).. marinate it with some salt and black peper, and some garlic in its stomag. Leave it over night in the frige and fried it next day.

  • I stopped eating bass back in 1985. I kept a 3 pounder, started to fillet it and noticed parasites within the flesh. I swore keeping them off from that point on.

  • naw bass meat is to fragile to soft to eat

  • you guys should learn how to care for fish and u should show some respect for the fish and not pull stuff outta their stomach's people don't walk around pulling food up outta ur stomach do they? alright then aside from that alright vid.

  • 3.5

  • that fish is maybe 4 pounds not eight.

  • thats not even 4.5 pounds but still bigger than anything ive caught on a fly rod.... not on a regular rod by a long shot however

  • what flys were u using to catch the bass

  • yeh! good question!

  • im not sure about 8lbs...but still...a very nice fish

  • Catch and release its finally catching on!!!! =)

  • ya thats like 5 lbs

  • haha great vid, at first i though yall were some gay couple with that music in the backround. sicky beats

  • you guys are idiots

  • hahaha 8lbs.....

  • lol

  • NEVER NEVER EVER hold a bass up like that by his jaw you can break it and not even know it and theyl never be able to eat again and die

  • no how he held it wont break its jaw, only if u hold them sideways without supporting its belly, not vertical. besides that fish wasnt heavy enough to breaks its own jaw

  • xialong123 - never tell anyone else agian how to fish. its not your space to hag at someone and there is certainly no room for smartass comments. and besides, they're fish: so dont bitch when one, or two, or ten of them gets killed.

  • if you enjoy fishing as much as i do you would want the fish to live as long as possible. unless your gunna bitch at me for wanting the fish that i caught to survive. i think if you caught a trophy class fish of any species and it died on you you would feel really bad. however, it sounds like you dont appreciate fishing on the same level that i do.

  • It is a fish... You are probaly one of the PETA freaks that think animals should have rights..... Not that big of a deal if one dies...

  • no im a fisherman who fishes not because i like to eat fish but because they are such cool creatures. and if your gunna atleast put a whole in its lip why hurt it even more than it already is. not saying it is hurt but if you really respect the animal as much as i do you wouldnt wana hurt it.

  • I studied about fish and They have no feeling around the lips. Go study up out it, and when i clean i fish i always put it in ice0water before so it is already dead and =so it wont feel pain

  • dude they haveno nerve endings in their mouth no shit and their brains re too small to prosess pain they only feel preasure. the rest of the brain is devoted to its sence of smell and being able to see a who,le different spectrum of color that us humans cant see. bro wer on the same side here

  • Wrong. It has nothing to do with PETA. It's about keeping the quality of fish available for the future.

  • 5lb max by the way nice release of the fish he probably had a concusion

  • thats a lunker

  • If that bass was 8 pounds than i have caught about 200 of them.

  • How big was your bass?????? I have caught bigger!!!

  • Well you sure got all the right gear, but you still don't have a clue.

  • hey as long as he made the effort, that is all that matters in life.

  • My god people on youtube are such fucking morons. You saw that they were on a blow up boat, and the guy made a joke about the fish being tournament quality, and he should throw him in the live well. If you are that stupid that you didn't get that joke you might as well cut your wrists because you are a fucking moron and obviously wasting peoples oxygen with your pointless existence.

  • the pearl jam song is the best part of the video

  • i agree lmao

  • love it, 8 lbs., probably thinks his cock is 12 inches as well

  • 2.5 pound max i cought 100s of them,

  • haha. how big was the bass on that? could you literally feel the bass? did you all get up and dance? haha boom boom

  • 3.5 pounds MAX

  • that's not even close to an 8 lbs bass. Probably closer to 3 lbs. Sorry dude, keep fishin' though.

  • thats not a very big fish at all

  • 3 pounds

  • Like everyone has said that bass was good but has no chance at being over 5 pounds. And it it was then my personal best of 12-6 must be flirting with the 20 pound mark.

  • the 5 lber on my wall would eat that alive and an 8 could swallow my fish alive. more like 3.5 at best.....

  • 8 pounds?? Yeah right, cmon guys, that fish might be 3 or 3.5, but thats it.

  • Lol, looks fun fellas, but 8 pounds? HA! lucky to make 4, max! But good work, nice fish!

  • hahaha thats like a 3 pound bass u can fit ur fist in the mouth of a 5 pound bass

  • okay i like flyfishing and especially fishing for bass and will tell that was lucky to be 5lbs... MAX

  • good work!thx for sharing...

  • cool man. great fucking vid. I'm an avid bass fisherman (central Florida born and raised) and Off He Goes is the best Pearl Jam song ever...wish you woulda let it play. Something about booty shakin club music just doesn't mix as well with fishin.

  • they released the fish jeebus, look at that lunker the guy tossed in the water at 3:37

  • Who the hell cares if they eat them? One or two specimens out of the fishery won't do any damage to the overall health of the particular body of water they are fishing.

  • you guys ate them fish, i know it

  • an 8lb bass would eat that fish for breakfast

  • Great vid switchfly, just started flyfishing for sea bass here in the uk. Great fun! Hag... you got weird grasp of reality regarding fact versus fiction....

  • are those comments for my point or yours? "the fact is, you didn't show them being returned" is full support that you assumed they weren't. your case doesn't get stronger with repetition, and "so, you made the facts as clear as you wanted them to be known" is a long sentence that means nothing.

  • How can you keep a bass of that size? You'd be chastised on these waters for keeping one that small. Learn to put the small ones back, and soon!

  • i didn't keep any of those bass. i put them all back. learn to make judgements based on fact and not assumptions.

  • The fact is, you didn't show them being returned.

  • The fact is you caught them, and you didn't show them being released. So, you made the facts as clear as you wanted them to be known.

  • yeah, that would probably be becuase he didn't expect a dipshit like you to come along and assume that he kept them

  • @switchfly you clearly say "put it in the live well"

  • @dandotreillydot42058 He was making a joke about Redneck Bass tournaments and being sarcastic if you didn't get it... I think lol

  • actually, if you knew anything about bass mgmt, a pond or lake can have too many small bass, which strains the food supply and decreases the amount of big trophy bass, if this is the case you keep anything around 1lb, and catch and release big ones.

  • WTF?!? Bringing up this dead shit, again? Listen buddy, we've got laws that limit the size of fish we catch. Do we have an understanding?

  • yes we have an understanding that you know little or nothing about bass fishing and like to comment without all the facts.

  • Ignorance of the law does not excuse you from breaking it. Now, if you chose to look at the fact I am from NY state, you might like to look into our local fishing laws. If you were to do so, you not only find that it is against the law to keep such small fish, you would be mistaken as to whether or not local anglers might give you a piece of their mind.

  • but if your on a personel pond witch most ponds are you can keep what ever size you want

  • Yeah you are right. The guy knows nothing about bass fly fishing. He should check out splashvision . com to know about fly fishing.

  • Should have stopped at the Trout fishing! That was excellent footage and the music fit. Did not care for the bass fishing. To much of a change in video.Keep filming.

  • cool video

  • great video but would be better without the DISCO music !

  • Good vid. A well done A/V experience guys.
