What about the modesty panel mine is 8inch wide and 9inches long how do I get it cover my whole back side without the gap? Or do I have to wait to be able to close the corset more for the modesty panel not to show?
@TheSunngoddess Since the modesty panel is sewn onto one side of the corset, there's about 1-2 inches lost in the useful width, so the gap in the back should be no more than about 6 inches wide in order to have your back not show at all. What you can do is fold it under so the panel doesn't show (just for the time that it can't cover the back) or you can cut out the panel and center it by suspending it on the laces. I have a tutorial on how to modify a modesty panel. :)
the woman of video is simply perfect. nice body, nice face and very nice voice. when I see a woman like this (very rare), I find a reason to be happy. :)
Hey :) I noticed that your waist is tiny in the corset but when you took it off, your waist looked normal size. Is that meant to happen? I assumed that when you do waist training to make your waist tiny that it would take a few days/weeks to return to normal. Thanks :)
@burberrybitch Hi, the body is very "springy" so if I cinch down 4 inches in a corset for a couple of hours, then when I take off the corset my waist will expand about 3 inches immediately. Over the next hour or so the 4th inch will come back as things settle back into place and the digestive tract fills up with air again, etc. However you can semi-permanently change your shape; I've lost an inch off my natural waist after about 6 months of corseting. But 1 inch is not that visible.
First of all I would like to say you are stunning, and I enjoy watching your vids! I would love to puchase this Morticia corset, but am in doubt about the right size. I normally buy corsets size 24, but would this one be ok in a 22? I'm asking because I think I might wear this one more often than the other ones, since you can wear this under your clothes as well... please answer me, it's driving me crazy :-)
@ritualsinger In your usualy size 24 corsets, is it the ribcage or the hipspring that's preventing you from cinching down more? If you have a large hipspring then you can definitely buy this in a size 22, however if you have a broad ribcage then it would probably be safer to stick with 24. :)
Lucy, I am curious re your Morticia corset, what size is it? Assuming you have made good use of this comfortable & effective corset what does it measure laid out flat. I'm amazed that our 24 inch Morticia now measures almost 27 inches. I have never seen this happen with Vollers or C&S.
@hsallan Hi! I'm quite surprised that your corset stretched 3 inches laid out flat. I haven't been wearing this one with great regularity because it's my smallest one, so haven't experienced any significant stretching. How long have you had your Morticia and how often do you wear it? Katie explained to me that her corsets are not meant for daily waist training, whereas C&S often is used for training. I haven't tried Vollers or C&S but plan to review a Vollers corset in the new year.
@ZOLTAN357 Thank you very much! No, I've never been to Hungary. I've never been off the continent of North America! But I would love to travel one day. :)
I'm just trying to gain some perspective as to my size in relation to yours, because I think that I should purchase a 24 inch, which is what you wear I'm pretty sure, but I was wondering how tall you are?
My corset has a faja material that has hooks on the front. It's very flexible and rolls up on me ALOT. It's nothing like the ones you wear. Is the one I wear good? Are yours better? And were can I get ones like yours? O_O (learning face)
@300crazyfaces The faja material is likely made from a rubber/latex so it's stretchy and it likely doesn't breathe well. That can be very irritating to the skin. I prefer my corsets to be made from a breathable material like silk and cotton, they also don't stretch so I can get more of a waist reduction. Having metal bones instead of plastic bones also prevent the corset from rolling up. This corset is from "What Katie Did", I can't put the URL here but it will come up on Google. :)
And another question. Would you trust Brocade corsets? Can you tell me what you think of the Brocade corset info below? Front busk measures 11 inches 14 flat, coated steel bones throughout Stainless steel busk front closure 6 inch modesty panel Cotton lining 4 layers of fabric total and waist tape for extra strength 6 suspender loops I like the cotton lining. They have 4 layers of lining for extra strength so I know it is pretty secure / good. quality (?)
@zaika1982 I can't tell just by the description but I just checked the website and they seem legit. Their corsets are very similar to the ones made by Corset Wholesale/ Punk69, so if Brocade Corsets is a wholeseller for Punk69 in that case I have both an overbust and an underbust from them. The corsets are pretty sturdy but I don't like the shape/ silhouette I get from them; they don't give an hourglass figure the way this Morticia does.
Ok, does your waist return to normal once you take the corset off? How about around 6 months later? Do you think it is wise to look for this at a cheaper price elsewhere as opposed to katie's website?
@zaika1982 6 months may be a bit too early to see a difference in your natural waist when you take the corset off. After about a year of training, especially if you train your ribs, then you can start to see a change in your natural waistline.
Does this corset work with your ribs - squish them in? How long does one need to wear it (including sleep (?) ) to see some results? Does the presence of muscles underneath the skin prevent the corset's effectiveness? (my waist and some torso expanded due to sport and I want to stop it ASAP and regain my thinner waist).
@zaika1982 Yes, this corset restricts the ribs. Nobody can tell you how long you need to wear the corset to see a change because each body is different - everyone has a different level of "squishiness" of their muscles and organs, and flexibility of their bones. I don't sleep in my corset because I find it uncomfortable but have been able to train my waist anyways by wearing my corset 9am-9pm. Yes, well-toned muscles do provide resistance but they can be trained in a few months as well.
Hello, I was thinking about buying a corset from wKD but my natural figure is not curvy, I have only 4 inches difference between hip/waist. Do you have any recommendations for this?
@McMakisha If you don't have a large waist/hip ratio, then you may find that the Morticia's hips will be "floating" around you. I think the Gina could be most flattering to your figure, as it doesn't have hip gores but will still give you a waist reduction. :)
@McMakisha The Sophia overbust has pretty small cups in my opinion. I think that corset would be perfect for about a B cup. I have D cups and they are pretty secure in that corset but I'm rather, uh, compressed. Haha
My Morticia has threads coming undone after the first try on - along the boning channels. :( But it was bought in a sale so I decided to mend it myself. I just haven't got round to it yet. Its a white silk and was reduced as there is a slight colour difference which is barely noticeable. Its so comfortable though - the best off the rack I've tried on (I have a 11" difference between waist & hip). So I'm going to sew up the broken seams with a blood red a la Emilie Autumn. Its too nice not to fix
You would definately be correct when wearing 1800's early 1900's period clothing. I've observed Civil War/Old West re-enactor ladies walk around with thier bellies overtaking thier dresses. I like the hourglass effect you've achieved, good going!!!
i have a question when you are wait training dose your body eventualy become the shape of the corset? and if so how how long do you have to where the corset so that you boby permanetly stay that shape?
@gaycocobutter Hi! I have a video called "Permanent Waist Reduction," I suggest you give it a peek. In that video I answer all your questions better than I could ever do in a comment here. ;)
What a pity you don't allow the option for video responses as I am sure your subscribers would be interested in my journey with Katie over this style of corset and the changes that I suggested and how they are going to be implemented into the manufacturing process.
From what I gather, I wasn't the only one that was not happy with the WKD corset line...
@SuzanziBalletHeels Hi Suzanne, video responses are allowed after approval for all my vids. You should be able to attach the videos and I will certainly approve them, but I never got a notification. Perhaps it's a Youtube bug. Can you try again in a couple of hours? :)
@bishonenrancher I meant to add this to my previous post: I went to one of the recommended off the rack sites, and was literally at the order confirmation page when my boyfriend says: "If you must do something uncomfortable for your body at least save and spend the extra money to do it comfortably." So, I cancelled my order and will be using that money toward a Morticia corset, as it's the closest to custom comfort I can get right now. Thank you so much for your guidance regardless.
Its GORGEOUS!!!!! I was drooling when I saw it on WKD but I have a short torso.... :( I think the Gina would work best for me. I wrote them and told them my intensions for waist training and they said that they are not meant for training..... Confused :( are they more of a maintenance corset after you get down to wear you want to be?? BTW.. you are a total sweetie.. thanks for the message Lucy, it was very helpful.
From just googeling around it looks to me that WKD is the only site to offer gored hips on of the rack corsets. Any idea if you could add them to an existing corset?
@menharry punk69 in India who make a lot of the corsets that sell off the rack sell a gored corset for $79. The quality is the same as the WKD corsets...not for waist training, but tight lacing would be fine..
@Corsetful A tight lacing corset is a fashion piece in general. It can be worn for hours at a time, but cannot be used for figure training. Tight lacing corsets aren't restricted to under bust corset styles, but include over bust styles as well. A waist training corset is a sturdier deal, worn under clothing. It is heavily boned and designed to work hard and be worn for many hours a day. It is always an under bust style. I'll message you if you like?
@Corsetful Sorry what I mean is, the Morticia or Mae wont allow you to gradually increase the amount you can tighten? Actually I will pm you, thanks. :)
@bishonenrancher Ooo ok 5'5"same as me, although I think my torso is shortish, thanks Lucy. It helps a bit to know, even though I'm aware that everyone's body measurements are completely individual, it does give a small idea when looking at the corset reviews. =)
@SuzanziBalletHeels Really? I counted them again and still came up with 12... although I count the boning channels, so they may have inserted two bones in certain channels.
Ok. Weird question guys. I'm new to waist training and I'm finding it difficult to umm.... Well to put it bluntly, wipe when I go pee :-[ any tips? Lol I'm really scerious
The Morticia has been my favourite corset for ages - after wearing it in and such it's really quite perfect ,even for my shape. I'm so glad you LOVE it. :-D
@candace1909 I don't see why not. You could probably disguise it better if you buy it in peach instead of black. If you wear it under your shirt, you should probably still use a liner just to protect the corset from sweat, oil etc from your skin.
You are truly beautiful! I want look like you! XD You are so blessed with beauty. :) I love that you corset your waist and keep your hair so long.........stunning beautiful woman.:)
Super videos! I've just discovered corsets at a ripe old age of fortysomething, and recently purchased 3 (it was a great special offer) all spiral steel boned, 2 underbust and 1 overbust all at 24 inches. The overbust I was able to almost close at the waist, and was gaping at the bust and slightly at the hips so I've returned it for a 22 inch. The 2 underbust I can hardly make any difference to my waist, (30) and I find are digging in my lower back/backside causing backache. Any suggestions?
All fantastic reviews, although the Morticia corset wins my vote for the Oscar ;-) Do you have to send them back now? A sweet deal if you don't :-) When you get down to what you feel comfortable with maybe you could do a review in FULL Morticia Addams outfit (Arms folded and everything) THAT would be awesome. Good luck X
That one looks Perfect. Thanks for the review. The silhouette is amazing. I wish they sold their drafting patterns, so we could make one at home. I may just have to buy it! Your reviews have me sold on WKD! I hope their reading this. You just earned them a customer! Please keep up the reviews, I look forward to more
@twotone425 Wow, thanks! All four WKD underbust reviews are now up. It will be awhile before I do any more reviews, but I'm happy you approve of this one. :)
So if you're on a budget and can't afford a custom corset, but also can't sew, what are some good (trustworthy) sites to buy a new beginners corset? The sites you feature are all fabulous but they seem to be for more experienced tightlacers.
@knowtalent05 punk69. It's where all the off the rack corsets you see on youtube are made - buy from them and you can have a decent tight lacing (not for extended wear or waist training) corset for $79.
@Pslm91v14n15 I will certainly do that! For the purpose of these reviews, I had a 24 inch waist in all corsets so viewers can study the shape without bias in waist size, but once I get past my waist plateau I will definitely post an update.
omg lol is it even healthy?

$250USD for an off-the-rack corset that fits like your custom draft?
Where were your drafting videos again? lol

After training down you should post a video to show it ^_^ I'm really curious how it'll look.

@Pslm91v14n15 I will certainly do that! For the purpose of these reviews, I had a 24 inch waist in all corsets so viewers can study the shape without bias in waist size, but once I get past my waist plateau I will definitely post an update.

I'm so saving up for this corset lol. This is the most beautiful shape I have seen and you look stunning in it.
