  • Hello, Thank you for the very informative videos on Home Networking. I have a question. May be you can help me. I am new to networking. I would like to set up a small office network of 3 workgroup computers. I have 3 XP pro computers, a dsl modem providing internet, a 9-port linksys wired router, plenty of cat 5 cable and ready to go.

  • My question is pertaining to the IP address. If I assign IP addresses like you suggested ( 194.225.33.1 etc ) would it not cause conflict when I connect the network to Internet? Wouldn't the DHCP server from the Internet provider automatically assign IPs? If the latter is true, then how can I keep the network connected when the Internet is off? Again, I am confused because I don't know these things.

  • I am reading, seeing & grabbing all information I can from books and Internet. I would appreciate if you could answer my question. Thank you. Again, fantastic tutorials and simple explanation!!!

  • Thank You very much

  • thanks for the knowledge. Keep going!

  • this put me to sleep
