IMHO It is wise to take the recommended precautions and boost your natural immune system by eating more fruit than normal, but there really is no need to 'run for your lives'.

"the mexican flu"thats so unfair, at the beginning it was the swine influenza or hog flu and after people was panicking about eating pork, the government was saying that eating it was OK ...so breathing it wasn't? it changed to human influenza...and according to Google the origin of this new strain is unknown and also it says "Swine influenza is common in pigs in the Midwestern United States " so who to blame? some countries are acting really stupid against mexican people.

I think it is a 'definite'. The World 'Health'Organisation have been hinting at it for a few days now.
If you read the prep documents, the progression from one phase to the next requires actions which should take a couple of months, but it has gone from 3 to 4 to 5 in a matter of days.
Given the ridiculously small number of fatalities, I think that when it is imposed most people will be able to understand why, and it won't be because of risk of dying from Fear Flu.

The WHO 'Global Pandemic Response Plan' guidelines make for very disturbing reading, with great emphasis upon the immediate nullification of individual human rights, for the US, a total nullification of the Constitution, etc...

All News agency and government statements in the UK are clearly stating that the effects of the virus are "mild" and comparable to common flu strains that have been around for years.
IMHO It is wise to take the recommended precautions and boost your natural immune system by eating more fruit than normal, but there really is no need to 'run for your lives'.

Im hesitant to eat fruit which has a higher chance of being touched by alot of people as opposed to grains which will just collected by machines poured by machines and stay somewhat safe in a box. Fruits and veggies fall on supermarket floors, drivers +other consumers touch and then may even cough or sneeze on it. In addition, the WHO or CDC (forgot where i saw it)stated that these pandemics start mild but then return with a vengeance and God is pissed so i do think its justifiable to panic.

UK News sources are suggesting that, as the effects can be mild, there may be many more people who have had the virus but not been reported, and recovered fine. This would imply that the number of fatalities could be a very low percentage of those affected, and though very sad, within normal limits for influenza.

My suggestion....Let's name the virus Huno Nuno. Just change the 1's in H1N1to Spanish!
Here's why:
# 1s should be replaced with the Spanish word uno. Resulting in H(uno) N(uno) instead of Swine Flu. It is still derived from the original H1N1 name, but incorporates Spanish words that would help relate to the Mexico pandemic .

I think it's too early to make any useful conclusions at this point. Apparently the heightened immune system response in healthy young adults is a 'normal' statistic for 'new' strains, as the body fights the virus more ferociously resulting in a form of pneumonia.
I agree that concern is very valid, but I personally am not going to panic. I've had several nasty bouts of flu in my time, and I'm still around. I'll take precautions for sure, and am eating lots of fruit to boost my natural defenses.
