@WyczesanyBober Because that's part of what differentiates the designs. 7.62mm = .30 caliber. 5.45mm = somewhere in the neighborhood of .214 and .221 caliber. Effective range of AK-47 = 300 meters. Effective range of AK-74 = 500 meters. Less recoil = higher repeated hit probability when firing bursts. Some armies and specialists still prefer the 7.62x39mm round for its harder punch.

The AK-103 is the modern incarnation of the AK-47/AKM.

The Kriss Super V is on the exterior of the Chernobyl NPP, after you refuse to join the C-Con (need the decoder and all that). It's on a small balcony with a single snork and a teleporter, which you reach by climbing a ladder. Hard to miss.

oh yeah apart from that, the P90 and Mac-10 are dropped by mercenarys at wild territory (sometimes theres around 4 guys with P90 and sometimes Mac-10) i think it was the mercenarys that also used the Mac-10's

when i see one way to get guns is at the bar, then i just GOT to say what i found yesterday when finding those documents in pripyat... as always i search stuff through... so i went around where i found those documents, and up some stairs (same building?) but up these stairs.. i found this bandit dude.. named kr(something) but this guy... he had EVERYTHING!!! except for the gauss and RPG.. 10 rpg rockets and minigun and ALL versions of AK, even with no different properties!!

@antiswattt3 I've only played L.U.R.K. once so I don't know enough about it. It was only for about half an hour just to sample it and that was back in, I think, 2008. I remember being disappoint. Took TWO shots to kill a rodent with a Mosin-Nagant!

@IggyHazard oh yea but really its a game with many differences.. you need to play it through to get the better stuff.. nicely balanced and such.. 3 ammo types for most guns.. hollow point, armor piercing and normal.. also silencer gives you +10 accuracy and less hit and something else.. and the arena is completely upgraded.. i reccomend it to you dude.. really try it..

@antiswattt3 I've beaten vanilla ShoC and ObLost v2.2 and I'm currently doing a Let's Play of ObLost 2010 which is merged with ArsenOL and Atlas Spawn (and other merged mods). I love all the new weapons! Some of my faves include but are not limited to: Vz.58 w/GP-25, Rk.95 w/M-203, Mauser 98k, Saiga 12K, Stetchkin APS, and CZ52. Oh, and I love going on Zone safaris, driving around in a Niva or Zaz while gunning down hordes of chimeras with a Pernach or a Kriss Vector.

OL 2010 that the G36 (lightblue one) is totally overpowered.. /: *googling atlas spawn* but i just think that LURK is interesting in some other ways.. once stabbed a bloodsucker in the face at freedom place and then my car blew up.. lol.. i had to pause the game because i was laughing so hard.. ^^ but i think you should try LURK completely before you get dissapointed about it..

@ChicagoShottYPL I found a way around that crash. It's not really a crash, it's more like a...discontinuation sort of thing. Save your game after it goes black and then load that game and it should continue as normal. Try with quicksave and quickload. I've never tried it that way. I know it works with manual saving.

And one more thing that's really good to do with oblivion 2.2 is to drop the Night vision MOD from complete into the gamedata folder for oblivion then when it gets real dark at night you have awesome night vision.

Defo a better MOD than complete 2009, I found that the complete 2009 MOD although looks great has terrible AI.

The AI in oblivion 2.2 is awesome, really good.

Must say though I have taken some of the textures form complete and put them into Oblivion 2.2. I didn't like the hands of your character, with the complete texture he has black gloves on looks much better. And various other textures in the game replaced also, and some music. But the game physics are left alone.

There is Kriss Super V on the ground near the last teleport (the teleport that teleports you near Koshei) in Chernobyl, where 6 monolith stalkers spawn.

But you have to be very fast to get it before the stalkers can loot it, because they spawn near it.

The Saiga is the ultimate weapon of the Zone! Imagine mounting an M-203 on it. The PPSh-41 and the Bizon are also great for slaughtering mass quantities of monsters. The Kriss's rarity is part of its mystique. In ObLost2.2, I only ever found one or two of them carried by military stalkers in Agroprom. As for the machine guns, the PKM is the best. There's another one at Monolith HQ in Red Forest not far from where you found the MG3.

@ZeroshootPS3 In Oblivion Lost 2010, there's an AK-47, an AKS-47, an AKM, an AKMS, and various AK-100s. And most of them come in different styles except the AK-100s which are matte black only. There's also an RPK-74. And a Vz.58. And an RK-95. And a PPSh-41 chambered for the original caliber (7.62x25mm Tokarev). There are also different versions of the OTs-33 Pernach and also its predecessor, the Stechkin APS. And that's barely a fraction of the ArsenOL you get!

Realism is increased. Your weapons are more effective and so are the enemies when shooting you (I like this change). New weapons added to the original weapons. New enemies can be found in the zone, burer, rats, zombies etc. New hud and interface (you can see that in the video). You get a sleeping bag to sleep because you suffer from fatigue if you don't rest (this also allows you to change the time of the day).

You're right and you get other weapons from other factions by joining them, however I was not able to find the Kriss Super V like some of the other guns. Supposedly Kriss Super V is somewhere in Pripyat but I looked all over and didnt find it, unless NPC picked it up.

the minigun is not "only usable with exosuit" I have a skat 10 and I use artifacts so I can carry just enough gear and 1000 rounds with minigun... But its is better to use the exosuit version 3 and the minigun so u can carry an extra keg of rounds to 2000 rounds.

Bah, Saiga 12C... I went to Agrophom and it wasn`t there anymore. Is there other ways to obtain it? Perhabs I took it and dropped afterwards, because it looks a lot like AK... Anyway, Saiga 12C and Minugun are only weapons left what still haven`t got. But I lost that "enchanced rifle", of curse... It could be good if it was possible to get it back too.

I missed Minigun and MG3 somehow... Tnx for video, if I didn`t se this, then I wouldn`t try to search them in those areas again. :) The only thing what bugs me is how I didn`t notice minigun in NPP. Perhabs it didn`t spawn or somebody took him, died and disappeared along with it in his inventory.

One of the military guys is carrying the minigun and he can be encountered anywhere, once you kill him you have to pick it up, otherwise other NPC will pick it up.

2.when in CNP(chernobil nuclear plant) one of the military will carry minigun

I played OL and Stalker complete 2009. OL offers more features than 2009 complete mod such as cut out mutants, new guns, artifacts transmutation etc. Complete mod fixes a lot of issues that were in vanilla SoC and greatly enhances graphics and other things. Hard to say which is better so try both.

Is there an animation pack that lets you use appropriate animations for machine pistols like the MAC-10 and Steyr TMP? They have foregrips or forward straps for a reason--so you can use your other hand to steady the gun.

Wow, that's too bad. I was hoping that you could equip an MP7 or TMP in your primary slot with the stock extended and your left hand on the foregrip for more accuracy--such a light weapon load is great when you're looking to bring lots of loot back to a trader.

Personally, I don't think that would fit STALKER and it's atmosphere. That would make STALKER like a Call of Duty Modern Warfare or Counter Strike wannabe or something or any similar game like that. The Zone is all about survival, exploration and fighting tough enemies and that kind of detail just doesn't fit. I like the game and the OL mod the way they are. I have to yet try other mods

I don't think something like that would unbalance the game, myself. I was half-expecting the mercenaries to use newer weapons like MP7s and FN P90s--in fact in the game files there is an entry for the P90's ammunition, 5.7x28mm.

While PDWs and machine pistols with stocks might be nice for short-to-medium range against human enemies, I doubt they'd do anything other than tickle the tougher mutants, so it's a nice balance in my mind.
