Awesome Riff Dave, just a quick question thats been buzzing around in my dome. Did Mr Vai always approve of you playing a seven string in his band?

Of course.  Much of his work involves 7 string. However, while I continue to play 7, I'm playing a lot more 6 now.

The pentatonic scale, is the mother of all scales, mathimaticaly and historicaly; if you can't master it forget ever mastering something like a dominant lydian dirivative from one of the 54 parent ragah scales.
