Im Leb Christian. I believe we should do far more to help our christian brothers and sisters from Iraq. Lebanon has long been a sanctuary for persecuted religions or ethnic groups for centuries. I say Lebanon should take more iraqi christian refugees since Lebanon is very good place for Iraqi christians to be compared to what is happening to them in Iraq now. Since we have real power there.Although Lebanon does have its problems.EVERYONE is free to practice their faith with dignity.

Arabic is a semitic language similar to Hebrew and Aramaic. Each semitic root word is derived from three alphabets. For "Islam", it is derived from the alphabets "Sa-La-Ma". This root word has several meanings. It could mean "submit" and it could mean "peace" for example we say "salaam" or peace. Islam means submission to One God and could also mean peace. Their king converted to Judaism and forced all his subjects to convert to Judaism. Jews tried to use this closeness to the Kurdish lands to claim that they were of Kurdish origin but Kurdish scientists quickly carried several DNA tests and proved that there is no relations between Jews and the Kurds.

You're right. The mainstream christian community in the west has done so much damage. They should have taken a hands off approach, but they didn't. I even remember seeing the ugly scene of a televangelist who went to iraq and brought back with him a souvenir of one of the bricks from saddam's old palace and he was showing it off on tv. Totally out of their right mind. Very irresponsible. Seems like they don't give a damn just as long as it does not effect them directly
