  • Hi does anyone know where I can get this done near Philadelphia

  • were are you located

  • @MrKingTmac North Houston ;-)

  • That was a awesome tutorial... And the end result came out nice. How much do you normally charge for that and where are you located?

  • @HisForever2004 Hi, I am in North Houston, and charge is $35 per row.

    My website is lovelyhairstudio. com

  • thank you! i haven't gotten to it yet, but i will get around to it! it looks so interesting but difficult at the same time

  • @ShaSha95Solomon yes, so true. keep trying,

  • Could I do this on my own head?

  • @queenxola16 No, I would if I could, lol!

  • How much does it average around to, do you have to buy your hair extentions before you go into the salon(so you bring in your own) or do they have some you buy there?,and how long to they last,?

  • @ShawdieeMassacre I provide hair since I sell it online, but you are always welcome to provide your own hair. You can view my service menu at my salon's website, LovelyHairStudio. com

They can last up to 6-7 weeks, with them be tightened in between.

    Thanks!!

  • @ShawdieeMassacre I sell hair extensions. The service is $35 per row. This technique last at least 6 weeks, the hair will last a year+

  • thats gotta be horrible for your hair = s easy way to get knots and breakage with at the knotting on the tresses

  • @jemstone0006 Actually it isn't. I have many clients who use this technique.

In fact, some who fly in because they use to have a stylist who did this technique and they either moved away or retired from doing hair.

This technique in a sense is like tree braiding without adding the hair into the braid, The 3 strands of thread create a braid while leaving hair out, just like tree braids. I hope that this has cleared it up for you. ThX for you comment doll!!! :-)

  • does it pull your hair and stop your hair from growing or give you permanent hair loss this one? because i know white people have different hair growths to black people, please dont take this racially because im not that type of person i can just explain it better this way. I have seen that black people have thicker hair and also stronger hair than white people so will this affect a white persons hair growth or does this weave not pull like the other ways?

  • @hamblisl01 No, This technique doesn't pull out hair, as with any technique the person doing it will determine weather it is healthy or not. This can be used on all hair types, it is just ideal for people with fine hair, weather they are black or white.

  • looks like it will take yrs to finish..my butt will be bruised by the time she finishes!

  • @ziccibella lol! It doesn't take that long, I was moving slow for the sake of teaching the technique. It's way quicker than getting a traditional sew in.

  • thanx,,i understand,,and i will continue to follow.....keep doing your thang......

  • i TOO HAD THIS TECHNIQUE AS A YOUNG, YET SINCE MY KANSAS CITY GRANDMA, ALINE JEFFERSON PASSED AWAY AND MY BIG COUSIN ALINE REMBERT MOVED AWAY, I HAVE NO ONE TO TEND TO MY FINE HEAD OF HAIR. i AM REACHING OUT TO A NEW YORK STYLIST...PLEH!!!!

  • Where is your shop? Where could I get these services done?

  • @MEGATAJAI2 i am in North Houston, Spring Area.

    Google: Lovely Hair Studio

  • @1DolceJolie .. I am also in the Houston are and am very interested in getting my hair done using this procedure. How much do you charge?

  • @tkendrick611 hi doll! I charge $35 per row.

  • Technique sorry, stupid phone lol

  • Love this technique, had it done when I was 16, and couldn't find the stylist again, I've been licensed for 11 years, and will be adding this to my services, once I order my machine and get the rechnique down, you are very talented, Thanks for sharing!

  • @neashanjoanne Yw. Thx. I love this technique also. You can order the machine on DolceJoliecom/shop website :-)

  • I LIKE HOW YOU TAKE YOUR TIME AND SHOW PEOPLE YOUR WORK...THANX,,AND I WILL BE FOLLOWING YOU...

BUT I MUST ADD,,CANT THIS TECHNIQUE BE DONE ON COURSE HAIR ALSO ?

I WOULD THINK THAT IT WOULD BE BETTER,,BECAUSE OF THE THICKNESS.

  • @2chocolatechild Hi, Yes, it can be used on all types of hair, I just was pointing out that on fne thinner hair it is nice because it won't show bumps.

Thanks so much for following. Please check out my other channel LovelysTV ;-)

  • Hi there, I live in Australia, I have learned to Pole Weave using your YouTube instructions, I have installed tracks on 4 people, all caucasion fine hair, I don't know why, but the horizontal tracks from the occipital bone down to the nape of all 4 people have slipped from the scalp within days of installation...what could I be doing wrong...any advice is welcome...phrh@hotmail.com

  • @PrincessDeeDee67 One thing to do, which I will do a video on, is too hairspray and backcomb at the base before starting your row. Please give me two weeks to do a video on that, My anniversary is this week and I will be gone for a week. and busy the week after. Thanks!!

  • @PrincessDeeDee67 So sorry, I haven't been able to do the video yet. Many of my clients don't want to be on camera. So I will have to use a mani head for it.

  • Well it looks nice. Just seems like way too much work.

  • I guess you had to go that route since its that type of hair, but normally the hairdressers I know just create cornrows the entire head and continue from there with sewing in weave..its interesting though what you did. I learnt about a new way even though it require a lot of time

  • how long does this usually take?

  • @mahreeuhx IT takes about 3 hours, from shampoo to finish for an average of 3-4 rows.

  • taking that out must be a pain OMG

  • @LivingWithAoki LOL, No, It's not that bad, just like removing regular tracks.

  • wow....i sure wish it was possible for "regular" people to be able to take classes on these newer techniques...Guess I'll have to keep watching youtube videos. thanks so much for making this.

  • @sonyea01 Thanks Doll!! Where are you located?

  • @sonyea01 ....this is not a new technique "POLE WEAVING" has been around for more than 30 years. My aunt use to do Pole Weaving before she retired ...and she was one of the best of the best .....

  • How much longer does this technique last compared to a sew-in, which can last up to 3months with proper care?

  • @SuperGOALdigger

This can be compared to a one braided row with a weft sewn on extensions and not to a full braided sew in.

So just as it compares so would the pole weaving, the difference is that the pole weaving will lay flater.

  • Love it

  • @Zachsmommi22 I do too, ;-)

  • I learned this method and I use it on some clients.....

  • @sweetredafro How do you like it? How do they?

  • You are awesome!!!

  • @candrameeks Thanks ;-)

  • @1DolceJolie I had another question. I am going to order the weaving machine through you but where do I purchase the spools of thread you used in your videos? Do you use silk thread for all your regular sew ins or nylon? Thanks! :)

  • Maylaysian pole weaving for my myself, but my hair is not relaxed, and it's thick curly, wavy, and cut into Asymertical bob, and if I so much as break a sweat my edges curl right up, and I have to wash my hair every once, or twice a wk, due to the fact I suffer from scalp psoriasis. So when I do it myself it comes out nice, but I can't get my edges. I also have issues with my scalp being super senstive, and I have to little boys who like to pull, and play in my hair. Is malaysian weaving for me?

  • @leanori09 The only thing I would be worried about with your situation would be your psoriasis. And that would be with any hair extension technique. Micro links or fusion would be better so you can get to your scalp easier. As with any hair extension technique, you need to get those boys in check. "Pull Mommy's hair and you go to time out or get spanked!" My 2 yr old chap plays in my hair, strokes it like he's my Man, lol. He does what he sees his Daddy doing, LOL! he knows not to pull.

  • Comment removed

  • @1DolceJolie Thanks, my 2 yr old likes to play in it, not so much pull it, however his 10 mth old brother is another story. My next question is how long does the micro links, or fusion last? Also world I be free to wash my hair as nessary, and the track still stay in its proper place, or get it wet if I went to the beach (or water park), the way a person can get their hair wet when they have the malaysian weaving?

  • @leanori09 LOL@ur 10 month old! Yes to all ur questions ;-) you will be able to do anything and everything. I personally suggest doing a french braid or ponytail when swimming. I sell it in different wave patterns so if you send a pic to my email dolcejolie@gmail.com I will be able to match you up perfectly. I don't know if you watched Tiny&Toya, but Toya had links, one episode she was swimming in the pool ;-)

  • About how much does this cost and about how long will the last? TIA!

  • @lathann The cost is $35 per row. It last about 6-8 weeks with you coming in for maintenance at the 3rd week and 6th week.

  • nice video! thank you so much! i didnt read the comments so i dont know if this was answered or not but how long does this technique last on fine hair? coarse hair? does it slip and also does it cause breakage? or is it no more than a regular weave? more videos on other techniques please youre a great educator!

  • @chyvonne55 Thanks girl!! es it's great for fine hair, and any technique can cause breakage if done incorrectly. So make sure whomever does it for you is well experienced and trained. It does not slip if done correctly.

I have more video's coming soon! I have a Contest give away that will be posted tonight!! ;-)

  • @ 1DolcieJolie , hi, im a at home hair stylist & i'm only a teenage girl who has progressed at doing hair at an early age and i wantd to say that i appreciated this video you posted . it is very helpful because i don't fully understand the malaysian wevaing technique quite yet

  • hey can you contact me i have some questions kincaidx3@yahoo.com fred

  • THIS GIRL HAS AN ADVANTAGE SHE DONT HAVE BLACK PEOPLE HAIR.

  • @lBabiiJ I don't know what advantage you are speaking of. I think I have an advantage having beautiful versatile hair. Curly if i want, straight when I want., I can do things with my "BLACK PEOPLE HAIR" that she can't do. This technique can be done on "BLACK PEOPLE HAIR" with more of an advantage, (especially non-relaxed hair) that being it last longer due to the texture and coarseness of our hair. So, as for the "ADVANTAGE" she has, I fail to see or understand what you are speaking of.

  • @1DolceJolie you even said it at the start its best suited for people with '' thin straight hair'' and you like it on indians obviously if was to do that with a full black person without perm or relaxed hair that would look dumb because how would you hide the tracks?

  • @lBabiiJ I did say that this is best suited in the sense of it will be undectectable on a person who has thin hair, weather it is curly or straight. That being said even more so it will be undectectable on someone who has thicker hair, weather curly or straight. I have done this technique on people of all races with and with out relaxers, etc. If you don't like the technique, fine, if you are seriously trying to learn more than fine also. But you comments are unrelated.

  • I love the video cant wait to try it may I ask where r u located

  • @1DolceJolie o really i would love 2 get sum training wats the cost

  • THIS METHOD IS SOOOO GREAT! How would you do it on African American course hair? Can you do a tutorial on that?

  • @White28T Yes it can be done on AA Coarse hair, It would be the same technique. Nothing changes. ;-)

  • HOW MANY ROWS USUALLY FILL AN ENTIRE HEAD?

  • @DmoniqueLewis Hi Dominique Wharzan is correct, it does depend on how thick or thin your hair is, but also how long your hair is and how much longer you want your hair to be. It can be anywhere from 4-8 rows.
