Are you serious DOOM? In 1998 it was Half Life that brought FPS to life. Doom was another 2D move your gun left or right shit-ass game. Half Life made the world think about putting up standards. I don't really think Crysis copied CoD. Cod merely set the new standards for fps games, just like doom did. Crysis is very unique, considering the possibilities of the theme and the abilities which the nanosuit gives you. Besides, even if Crysis is a copy of CoD, who cares? It's about which game is the better out of the two when they are both similar. CoD might have invented it, but Crysis 2 might have perfected it.

It's kind of funny how similar this game is to the COD multiplayer. There's Create A Class, challenges, perks, killstreaks, customizable gun attachments, emblems, and probably more I don't know about.

I don't really care, because the game looks awesome, it's just funny to me. At least the nano suit adds some decent originality to the game.

I agree, i don't mind when a game takes GOOD elements from a game another and adds some new innovative ones in the mix. I love the nanosuit, i love using holograms and then cloaking myself then sneaking up behinde my victim and snapping hes neck. I'm still palying the MP beta is a ton of fun. The reason why Crysis 2 MP is getting so much hate becuse it took some elements from COD and apparently that makes it automaticly terrible.

@FREEZINGWEAZEL -Most of those you mentioned were done already in other games [perks,classes,customization]. None of it is anything cod started. Think about it though. It's multiplayer. You run around a map & shoot people. There's only so much you can do. You can add some customization to your guns & classes, things like killstreaks, rewards, vehicles. There is the entire list that every multiplayer games takes from. There is nothing more that can be done. Multiplayer will never get any better

@FREEZINGWEAZEL - Yes, it will never improve. Multiplayer hit it's peak a long time ago. There's a point at which you have added everything a combat situation can have. Battlefield, MAG for expample are games that have everything that encompasses war. There's no where to go from there. Cod could add more players, bigger maps, vehicles,destruction. After that there is nothing more to add. Can you think of anything to add to the multiplayer experience?

This is an entity that would make FPS games extremely more dynamic and infinately more replayable. When the tech becomes available, this is an obvious progression.

MP hasn't changed in the last 15 yrs nor will it change in the next 15 yrs. You could take goldeneye, add custom guns & it's now cod. There is only so much that can be done with running around shooting eachother. Give the player all that encompasses combat, customization & you have reached it's full potential.

THe games may look different, have a unique feel to it, sound different but it's all the same. IF you were to play any MP game from the past or now it would be the exact same except now we have have red dot sights on our guns. Go play perfect dark on xbl & then any cod & you will see no difference except for the customization.

COD is not a rip-off of Doom you fucking moron. Just Because Doom was (arguably) the first FPS of any kind does not mean every other game remotely FPS oriented is a rip-off of it. I am fully aware that most features of COD come from other games, but the way that they are implemented in COD is in many ways unique to the franchise. Crysis 2 seems to be drawing directly from the COD set up. I'm also not saying that this game will suffer from it or should be boycotted for that reason.

That you can say is a rip off.. but does that make the whole MP of Crysis2 a copy of CoD? no. also Wolfenstein 3-D was the first 3D FPS, Doom made by the same guys as wolfenstein was the first MP FPS....

DUDE!!! Crysis was released 7-8days after COD4 meaning they had it a few years before cod6. WHERE THE ITECH WAS PUT INTO THE GAME!
