hi mate, i have a brandnew dx6i and when i put expo on it minimises (but only slightly so dont know if it will actually effect the sevro throw) how far each chanel on the monter moves. i dont know if this is right and have not had a chance to test it on a real rc plane as im getting my new plane for xmas.
i tested it by puttng 100% duel raetes on and 100% expo on high rates
and 100% and no expo on low rates.
this made it clear the it affect the duel rates bit only slightly.
good info for sure....but when do you switch between high & low rates ?

If your model is a small and fast those expo settings would do nothing, expo does not become affective until over 70 % IMHO .
