There's a common misperception among non-traceurs that rolling is always a necessary part of falling. This is not true. Rolling is only important when someone has forward momentum. If you drop straight down, it actually puts more strain on your legs if you force yourself to roll. The reason you always see freerunners roll is because they're always running forward before leaping off of things.

I actually *did* roll after jumping off the brick ledge; I just edited it out.

I find that rolling usually just helps anyway. Of course I also weigh around 230 lbs. so I probably have a lot more momentum from a drop. I dunno, personal experience is different I guess. It always puts way too much strain on my joints/legs if I straight drop and don't roll. I don't do it every time, but usually from higher stuff. You seemed to have enough forward momentum in most of those jumps. But hey man, whatever works for you. Heh

lmao, Sorry but I doubt you really know what you're talking about. I've been doing this for years now and have never even slightly hurt myself (even when doing jumps 1.5x or 2x the height of these). I actually had a foot pain that day before ever doing the jumps, and afterwards it felt no worse whatsoever.

I didn't demonstrate it much in the video due to various time, weather, and environment constraints, but I freerun quite a bit; everything in this video was meant to be comedic.

It all depends on which movie editor you use.

I use premiere, and there's this little button you can select that says deinterlace. If your program has a help feature, try searching deinterlace or something along those lines.
