i got the same desired effect as you did but instead of making the new audio tracks, you can just go into the maschine software and when you right click the individual samples or sounds in a group and assign them to different notes on the midi scale. for example put the kick on C3 then put the highest and lowest notes on C3. For the snare i set the midi note (highest and lowest as well as the note itself) to B2, and so on and so forth. i think its a little bit simpler
i use mixcraft, how do i route maschine into mixcraft so i can just press record in mixcraft and then play on maschine?? ive hooked up the midi but im missing something, idk if its within the preferences or what please help.
Nice! i was wondering if this was possible to do, im still debating on buying ableton live or not. my question is tho, is there a limited number of audio tracks that you can have in Ableton?...and also...seems that Maschine only has 8 outs?...does that mean you can only route 8 channels from Maschine? and not all 16 sounds from multiple groups?...sorry...long question!
@wwil74 It sounds like a latency issue or possibly the loop points are slightly off. Is this something that happens on other plugins when you try to record midi into Ableton Live or is it just when using Maschine?
@vincentberry77 It's the plugin for Native Instruments Maschine. It's a hardware/software combo. If you are looking for a good Drum Machine plugin, there are quite a few. If you like the classic 808 and 909 drum machines, I would check out the plugins from d16! Look up Drumazon on google. As far as free, I'm sure there are many out there, but I'll have to look into it.
@vincentberry77 Check out AudioTool from Burn Studios. That thing is pretty awesome if you're looking for great drums and synths sounds for free. Hope that helps. -Gerritt
then it looks a little bit more like the drum rack setup that ableton provides

Please Help!! I've done this, but when I record in Ableton, the first drum hit is never recorded in Ableton. How can this be fixed?
