  • my uncle went to school with troy at blackville hilda

  • What a friggin player!!!!!!!!!!

  • Troy Brown in my mind is the best patriot player of all time and always will be. Played offense defense and special teams. Hell of a player

  • i love troy brown he'll always be my favorite player without a doubt.

    thanks for the memories troy.

  • Troy Brown has had an amazing career with loads of memorable plays, but my favorite has to be when he intercepted a pass from Drew Bledsoe. Back in say 2000 did you ever think you would he Troy Brown intercept a Bledsoe pass? Man that was classic highlight reel material.

  • hes gone now hes been gone for a long time he left i think in 2008or 2009

  • 2008*

  • my dads name is troy brown lol

  • TEAM FIRST - that's his legacy. Of course, his receiving, running back kicks and playing in the secondary wasn't too shabby either!

  • I wish there was more stuff than just pictures.

  • that sucks everyone in the picture at 0:22 is now gone

  • Seymour, Brown, Law and Bruschi.. hell of players too.

  • no doubt in my mind does he belong in Canton but being an underrated player i can see him not being in. Regardless of what anyone might say, brown was integral to 3 superbowls and helped shape the patriots dynasty not just with offense, but with defense. One of the most clutch and versatile players to ever strap on the pads. I was there when he set the pats all time recieving record and when they honored him on thursday night football, He's a class act and a hall of famer for sure.

  • Not a Patriots fan, however If I ever met Troy Brown I would buy him a beer without a doubt. What a true gamer and to play in the secondary in 2004 was pretty impressive as well.

  • I think any real football fan, regardless of what team you support, has to appreciate the player that Troy was.

  • Exactly!

  • My favorite patriot of all time true team player

  • One of the most versatile players of all time. He was a good and consistent reciever, he could play cornerback and was a great punt returner.

  • Not many players in the Hall of Fame like that did EVERYTHING for their team. He deserves to be in, can you imagine how much of an influence it would have on the stars of tomorrow? It'll raise the bar even more, which makes football more intense, making games much more enjoyable to watch.

Behind Brown, I'd say Faulk is Mr. Everything. Bellichick loves versatility doesn't he? haha

  • Troy Brown is a sure hall of famer; if he's not I will assassinate the hall of fame voters myself!

  • Troy is the best!!! A true class act through and through - thanks for all the memories and wins Troy!!!! We love ya #80 from your Foxboro friends!!! "Downtown Troy Brown"

Thanks for the post - we love him!!!!

  • Forever a Patriot!!!!!!

  • brady did have a good recievers its really gay when people say he didnt have a reciever to pass to

  • Didn't Troy also through a touchdown pass to David Patton one year on a flea flicker type play? I know something like that happened in the early '00s but it could have been someone else who threw to Troy.

They could replace the flying Elvis emblem on the helmet with a picture of Troy Brown and it would be the same to me. TEAM player!! I missed him last year and wish he could have participated in the 16 - 0 season. Who knows. Maybe he coulda made the interception that Samuels should have.

  • troy was awesome, he could have played with the guys back in the 40's and 50's. when people played on both sides of the ball and special teams. go marshall

  • Not the tallest guy, fastest guy or best catcher ever but Brady made him work and he kicked some serious versatile ass

  • We missed seeing at Marshall and now well miss seeing on Sundays!

  • the pats will not be the same without troy brown. amazing career.

  • congratulations troy on a 15 year career :)

  • his strip in the 06 div game vs the chargers was the greatest moment of my life

or maybe it was LT crying after the game...

or maybe when we kicked their as*es in week 2 of the next year fter the chargas said they were soing to get revenge..

  • You're an ass. Too bad whatever team you support doesn't have a 15-year player that played three sides of the ball and would rather retire than put on another uniform, especially the green and white one that just offered him a position.

  • He's what a football player should be.... Offense, special teams, Defense, only punting & kicking were the only he wasn't asked to do.

    Is he a Hall-of-Famer? Maybe. PATRIOT Hall-of-Timer; Locked-in ;)

We're there for u Troy... Nov 13th in Foxboro!

The #1 NE Patriot of this generation.

  • fuck off jackass!

  • ouch! what a mature comback. You're probably one of those people who actually thinks your team didn't cheat even though they clearly did.

  • FUCK YOU!

  • hey ur a bithc come to boston and ill fuckin beat ya ass

  • i love how people just have to find an exccuse why their team always loses

  • i love how boston is the sports capital of the world

  • I spot a pats fan!

    haha

  • haha damn straight bro

  • yes we are.

  • MY IDOL!!! then kevin faulk. hehe

If I ever get to play Receiver in the NFL, I'd want to play it like he did. And always a good sportsman, even with opposing players.

  • Congratulations on a great career #80 - you are a true Patriot and the fans will never forget what you did for the team nor how you played. Thanks for all of the great memories.

  • THATS MY COUSIN

  • Tell him we love him and we'll miss him, and we want to see him on the coaching staff REALLY soon!

  • @lwstarr hell yeah we love troy i take him over brady anyday

  • he played corner, quaterback and running back also.

  • Don't forget kickoffs and punt returns. He's this generation's Gino Capelleti.

    Troy's the best!!!! #80

  • he was the patriots offense when they won their superbowls hes like kevin faulk always comming throgh when they need him

  • I thought he retired a year ago, then I saw him play against the dolphins. Great player! winning the superbowl would be a good way to retire.

  • I think 3 are good, one more would just be a luxury. haha

  • God Bless Troy Mofo Brown. Receiver, blocker, safety, corner. SEE THAT TURNOVER VS THE CHARGERS IN THE PLAYOFFS LAST YEAR. HUGE! One hell of a football player. So happy he is back.

  • dose chad have a ring?

  • Troy is the best.

  • Troy Brown is one of most heroic and reliable players in Patriot history. I love Troy's game. Simply one of the most intelligent players on the field.

  • TB is one of the greatest football players of all time. I'm so thankful he is a patriot. He is the epitome of what ALl players and people for that matter should aspire to be. I was privileged to be at the game last year at home against the dolt clots when he received the record for the most number of receptions for the pats.

  • His a great receiver and one of the best punt returners...

  • This guy is the man....joinin the patriot greats...like randy vataha

  • Troy Brown is my all time favorite receiver. And hes the best and if Ne1 says otherwise u were dropped as a child

  • Troy Brown is the Patriot. Hes everything Bill Belichick represents.

  • omg i love you for this!!! #80 in my heart 4ever <3333

  • ok Lisa

  • he's no Mike Vrabel

  • Do you know football? Vrabel is a linebacker - Brown is a receiver AND MORE. You know, offense and defense???

  • how dare you insinuate that I dont know football! you must be from Sharon

  • I'm not going to fight with a Pats fan. Vrabel is awesome...love the guy. Just happen to love Brown better. See ya in the SB!
