@Nylad21 If you don't see it he has mics on every tom or drum you see, and i would say he's using overheads for the cymbals even if you don't see them.

@Nylad21 The guy who responded to you was correct. I have mics on every drum & 2 overheads. I run those into a mixer and from there to the camera, which is the limiting factor. Even though I have a nice Sony HD camera, it condenses the sound and isn't meant for music recording. The other option is to run the mixer into a computer with ProTools software which you can then use to synch the video and make corrections not only to the audio, but also your mistakes, which is cheating. Thanks!

@GoMeZCoSa as a pretty mediocre drummer, I'd say that pretty much anything by Tool is more difficult to play than almost anything by DT.. so if something like Rosetta Stoned is only a 4.25 on the TbartelsScale, i dont think anything Portnoy has done is technically more difficult than that. Except for like A Nightmare to Remember/The Great Debate maybe. mayyyybe
