It's interesting how different actresses interpret Mary differently. This particular Mary seems doe-eyed and submissive. Jesus has to comfort her when Judas starts going off. In some other versions, the actress playing Mary is the "cool" one, and she takes control to prevent the boys from getting in a fight essentially.

I got to see Matthew as Simon when I went to the show and thought he was really good. I thought everyone was great, except the guy who played Judas was singing so slowly until near the end. I'd never seen it live so maybe that was normal but it bugged me every time he sang.

I couldn't record anything but I thought I saw at least two people with cameras. I'm looking for footage from the night, but seeing this was just as good. Thanks for uploading it!

Mary's voice can get annoying at times, however she is very good. Judas is amazing, I am awed by his performance as well as the clarity in his voice while singing those difficult high notes. Ted Neely is a legend, enough said.

when i saw this show, judas was the biggest disappointment to me. I saw this guy who was playing simon, and i thought to myself that he would've been the best one in that cast to play judas. Later, i found out that guy was actually was the understudy for judas. and that guy was the one in this video! I would've liked to seem during this show.

oh, and he was also the understudy for simon. I guess he now has the role as simon, and is still the understudy for judas.

you're talking about corey glover, from the rock band Living Golour, who was originally cast. he actually left the show. i thought matthew (judas on here) would take over, but they cast a new guy who's apparently really good)
