did you only change the exhaust? because you most probably lost power. The engine is tuned and assembled to deliver peak horsepower and efficiency at it's stock status. As soon as you change something, something else unbalances itself and you have to change that too, so on and so forth. I wish more people realized this before they spend so much on "tuning" their cars.

What are you talking about "tuning" their cars you make it sound like it doesn't do anything, I have a 2003 wrx and did a turbo swap, before tuning I had it dynoed made 250 some odd horse power and 230 or 40 some odd torque, after tuning I went up to 19psi and made 280 whp 270wtq so it obviously does something.

Yeah I know, but why would he get his tuned with just a exhaust to begin with? Also you will pick up power from a exhaust, minimal, but still you will pick up power and get better gas mileage if you drive the car normal, because it will breathe a lot more easily although you shouldn't open it to much other wise you turn your care into a loud air pump.

i completely agree. I guess what i did is assume that he didn't do anything but the exhaust... at first i asked "did you only change the exhaust?" and then i just commented on the millions of people out there that swap their exhaust and call it a day. ESPECIALLY on stock compact cars... like civics, corollas, etc.
