@JStar500 Totally, you might need to buy a few books too, like a dictionary and a grammar book or so, but I learned way more Japansese from these videos and songs than I did in 5 years of classes.

@JStar500 you could learn some of the most basic stuff the Japanese people often have different versions of words polite version and informal version and you have to understand sentence structure also english is subject-verb-object while japanese is subject-object-verb but there are lots of other you tube videos and books to help you learn more and this also helps you learn how the words sound and are pronounced which is also very important

Just gotta say,,,, I listen to a lot of Disney songs in both English and Japanese, since I am fluent in English and know a reasonable amount of Nihongo, and this is probably the closest English-to-Japanese song translation I've ever heard. The translators did a fantastic job here...it's a pity that lyric translation is so rarely this close.

Well, the singer for Aurora in the original version sort of sounded like she was in her mid-twenties despite being only 19. She has an incredibly mature voice and went on to a gigantic musical career after recording 'Sleeping Beauty'.

Its interesting but i find when it comes to America and Japan our cartoons sound just as good in each other's languages, yet other countries don't sound as right to me. ALthough I think this might be because our two countries dominate the world market on animation and we are both good at our craft.

WOW.. Such an impeccable translation to english! Love the flair that's adapted to the lyrics (in regards to the story's setting), instead of just translating the lyrics word by word from japanese. Excellent job!

Btw I just realized how incredibly astonishing and timeless the animation quality in this movie. For example, notice the fluidly lifelike movement of the dancing, and how realistic the hair bounces.. Outstanding use of traditional motion-capture technology, I suppose.
