I wish Chinese imports were not banned in America. One thing the Canadians have better than use when it comes to guns. I think there is only a handful of these in the US
I tried searching for "type 86s" (this weapon's real name) and this video didn't come up. Maybe you could include "type 86s" (without the quotes) in the video tags?
This is a factory bullpup unlike the Century one. I owned one of these in 1990 and it was dead reliable and accurate as any other AK. It had a fishlip flash hider too which I think was unique to the rifle. Beautiful thing I wish I still had it.
"Helps if I rack a freaken round!" That needs to be a on t-shirt! xD
Man those seem like fun, you lucky dog you! It seems like a gun with potential but it's lost through lack of refinement. Ever thought of checking with a gunsmith about refining the internals? Too bad it can't take AR15 carrying handle mounts.
Oh it's real. Unfortunately no sound system's going to reproduce the 160+ peak deciBels that 7.62X39mm would produce. And frankly, you wouldn't want it to.
Lol Yeah looks a little like a FA MAS, less so close up. But there's only 100 FA MASes in the USA, and last I priced 'em they were $8600+. You can find this at the gun shows for under $2 and it takes regular AK mags.
Actually an AK-74 is a specific Russian AK variant in 5.45X39mm. The title and description clearly describe this as a Norinco 86S, which uses an AK's insides as an engine, and is available in 7.62X39mm (shown) and 5.56X45mm. The tag's there specifically to glean more viewers, who think any AK is an AK-47. Soooo, please keep attending anger management classes. They'll do you good.

God, I wish I had one of these! What is the barrel length on this?
esh325 1 year ago
As per Wikipedia (too lazy to get out my ruler =P ) it's 438mm, or 17 1/4 inches.
Pretty much the same as a conventional AK.

I wonder if you can put a Saiga into this bullpup?
OriamendiMexico 2 years ago
No.
It's not a bullpup kit.
It's a unique configuration welded together.
The only way you could make a Saiga into this would be to manufacture the unique parts yourself and weld them to a Saiga's receiver.

Darn.

This comment has received too many negative votes show
Is that an airgun? Doesn't sound like an AK to me.

The 5.56X45 NATO does 162-168 decibels.

Good comment, "Like an ugly bitch that puts out..."
Most bullpups are kind of ugly, in a fascinating sort of way. :^)

The above was a retort to a rather vitriolic comment. Funny that it disappeared almost instanly after I replied.
