Does anyone else notice that when she first goes to the car, the door is locked. So she goes back into the house to get her keys. But when she gets back to the car the door is opened and she didn't even stop to put the keys in. When that was her whole reason for going back... I thought that was really weird. I always assumed it was because Michael was in the car and unlocked it or something. I dont know. Anyone else have an idea?

for the longest time, i had only ever seen this film in standard 4:3, so i was always perplexed as to why the music started before Michael appeared.... so, seeing it years later in it's true aspect ratio - imagine my surprise when i see just how fast Michael sits up in the backseat... with that and the music, it literally startled the shit out of me lol.

Zombie's remake is good, but it lacks that special touch that was only achieved once in 1978... This movie is tame by today's standards of horror - because we've become so desensitized to blood and torture porn today... but this is still a masterpiece in suspense, even by today's standards - point being, that today, 99% of horror directors couldn't achieve proper suspense to save their lives - instead, they jam their films with nothing but jump scares.... suspense is a lost art.

@Wiintendoh I am sorry, i know it is a matter of opinion but anyone who says the remakes of the 70's and 80's slashers are anywhere near as good as the originals has obviously got not clue when it comes to the quality of Horror films. Modern "Horror" is all just gore fests and torture porn. All the rubbish like Saw and Final Destination is a load of bollocks. Real Horror is Pyscho, Halloween, A Nightmare on Elm Street, Black Christmas, Scream, The Birds, Alien, Peeping Tom and The Shining.

A Horror film has not been made in the last 10 years that is anywhere near as good as those of the 70's and 80's. Final destination is not "creative and deep" all of them are the same. Bunch of silly teens escape a life threatening situation and then Death get back at them by killing them of one by one in stupidly gory ways. it is not "deep" it is pathetic.

@beatlesforever997 Hello, I also am a 60's, 70's, 80's aficianado; I was 15 yrs. old in 1971. I actually think you'd like 2011's Blood Night - legend of Mary Hatchet which features Danielle Harris. It really reminds me of Black Christmas and 1978 Halloween. I think it's rare for directors nowadays to reach the zenith they used to in the late 70's / 80's. I love physical FX opposed to CGI. Thanks for your posts.

@Wiintendoh Compare it to A Nightmare on Elm Street (1984) one of the finest Horror films of all time. It's real Latex effect look much more realistic than the CGI rubbish shown these days. The acting was fantastic which you cant say for modern horror. The story is very well written with brilliant character dialogue horror's have not had that since the 90's, and it was directed by Wes Craven one of the greatest director of all time (though he is no Alfred Hitchcock).

This has got to be one of the greatest death scenes ever put n film. The foggy windows really add the haunting atmosphere of the film. Rob Zombie should be on his kneeds sucking John Carpenter's cock for making the first movie, and wishing his version was just as good.
