  • haha, 2:30, IS THAT the diff in a full lock mode?

  • I had one just like that in high school. Mine was white. Oh and it was a '74. And had a rotary engine. It was also a Mazda.

  • haha i love you man <<<movie

  • @dirtridr159 hahaha exactly what i was thinking. i cant hear that song without thing off the movie.

  • Diffed

  • so many.......filters lol, its nice that it is street legal or you just put plates on there from another vehicle lol

  • i see a tag is this street legal?

  • Paint color is Subaru yr 2005 crystal grey metallic. Hope that helps

  • hello johnf2000, what shade of grey did you paint the ford f2000. hope to here from you thanks and great truck.

  • that engine is way more cool than car! And I think that engine also costs more than that car.

    So, Engine +5, car -5

  • came in my pants

  • They need to quit playin' on that dyno and let her eat!!!!

  • good song and nice truck!!!

  • A twin turbod 460 and Rush, two of my favorite things

  • this is in new york

  • nice welded rear end:)

  • Called a spool. :)

  • my uncle glen straightiff did the fabrication for this truck

  • Do you happen to know what the OE year and model is? (i.e. 1970 F150)

  • i believe its a 1960's ford f100

  • from the back i was thinking 61-66 but when its actually going down the road its 67-73

  • The Cab and frame is a 69

  • the lines of the cab suggest its a 67-72 era Ford.

  • wow that's pretty bad ass

  • thats awesome! this would blow away that new f-150 raptor. although the raptor is very nice!

  • i wanna do that with my 71 now

  • Why four wastegates?

  • The turbos are small for this displacement motor to reduce turbo lag for a very response engine in the dirt. Therefor it takes 4 waste gates to bleed off the excess energy

  • Ah, now I understand. Thank you :)

  • that makes alot of sense! so instead of feeling like a peaky high boost turbo motor, the turbos just it feel almost like a bigger motor?

  • You are correct. It has a very steady power band, easy to control. It feels exactly as you said in you post, a bigger motor.

  • @johnf2000

What would be better in this case, the turbo's or superchargers ?

Im guessing turbos seeing as thats what youve got lol.

However theres no lag with the supercharger ?

  • @MarkW1888 The turbochargers gave us the ability to adjust the boost on the fly based on what fuel we were running. This allowed us to run in Mexico with 87 pemex or race gas at full boost. The turbos are small for this application so there is almost no turbo lag. It is on boost at cracked throttle going thru the parking lot and at 55 on the fwy cruising it sits at 2.5 pounds. We loose the max top end hp, but that was the compromise with this combo.

  • @MarkW1888

We chose turbos to give us the flexibility to adj boost on demand based on fuel avail such as 87 octane pemex in Mexico or race gas for full boost. The turbos are small for the application so there is almost no lag. 1 pound at parking lot idle speed and 2 pounds cruising at 55 on the fwy. We gave up some of top end potential, but that was the compromise

  • @johnf2000 how much for one

  • Very nice : )

  • Where'd you find a dyno capable of handling that rig, and what was your test gas?

  • Nice Truck, 67-72 body style too. Those are the best ford trucks.

  • That is such a sweet truck, JohnF2000. Where did you get the idea to twin-turbocharge a 460? Just pushing the envelope? It just sounds evil simply at idle...

  • The idea came from wanting to be able to run the truck in Mexico on low octane fuel when you had to at 600 hp, and when high octane race fuel avail adjust boost up to 1,000hp.

  • LOVE THIS SONG

  • im guessing its at least a ford 9" diff?

  • correct 9" Floater with 40 spline axles

  • nice locked diff, my skyline does that lol

  • Is it capable to reach 1500 rpm??

  • Not sure what you mean. With a turbo cam it can idle real low at 900 to 1,000. Red line is 6k

  • he proly means 15000 rpm

  • those 460s werent known for being high RPM motors am i right? low rpm torque monsters

  • i wanna do an engine setup like this in a 1988 ford f250 what did this cost you?

  • Approx $60,000

  • hahaha! how is the torque on that thing!! check hou the body twists under power! awesome!

  • the bodys not twisting, just the engine is appliying torque to the diff cuasing the truck to rotate on top of the suspention, so in easier terms, the truck is just leaning, not twisting.

  • nice Ford, sweet work, post vids of running in the dunes

  • Ummm, chevy??

  • Chevy what?

  • brother, that is one bad ass truck!! loved dessert racing since i was a kid. would love to build one,but nowhere to use it in tennessee! i have a rockcrawling jeep tj,but nothing like your truck. i will definetly check out your website.

  • Wow, nice run dude. Where is this at? What shop did the dyno?

  • Steve Dose dyno San Diego

  • 619 Love! Bad ass truck, where do you usually run it? glamis?

  • supertramp??

  • Rush

  • word

  • well, point being, its not the boost's fault.

  • the only reason too much boost would melt a piston is from leaning out, which is the fault of the driver, not the engine.

  • That is only partially true. Too much boost and low octane gas, regardless of how lean it is will detonate in the combustion chamber and "melt a piston"

  • "leaning out" wouldnt be driver error either. running to lean is an error in fuel delivery which relates the the setup of the carburetor or fuel injection system. too much boost can and will melt a piston.

  • I guess I shouldn't have said driver, but rather whoever is running the damn dyno and not watching the AF ratio.

  • I run 52 pounds of boost in my 24v cummins wot, Buddy of mine hits 105 psi in his 12 valve with twins. Some sled pull cummins are hitting a 170 psi of boost now. Insane Shit!!!!

  • well, I work at a diesel shop so i'm talkin boost on big rigs. can't run too much or they'll melt pistons.

  • Nice. highest compression ratio i've seen in a gas engine is 13:1. diesels are more on the order of 25:1 effective compression ratio because of the added boost of the turbo(s). Diesels need that compression ratio to get the air hot enough to ignite the fuel.

oh, and 10 pounds of boost out of a diesel is pathetic. i see diesels run in the 40 psi range regularly.

  • my slightly modded gsxr600 motor is at 13.6:1

  • airmen65 you are a true idiot, thats like sayin a gas motor with a 14 to 1 ratio is pussy cuz yer dads deisel runs a 20 to 1 ratio, apples and oranges ya doosh deisels are different from gas ya dipshit!

  • well put

  • 7psi boost????? you do know that pathetic, right? my dad's '93 cummins diesel pulls at least 10lbs of boost, and i've seen 1st gen dodges pull 15 or 18 lbs

  • whats more pathetic is your lack of knowledge of turbo motors. Everyone knows that a diesel runs at higher boost levels than gas due to the fuel. Your 10lbs is nothing for a diesel try 30 to 50 psi.

  • Hmmm... Why "Tom Sawyer" and not "Red Barchetta"? Much more appropriate.

  • damn.

  • nicee man i should make one of those and some day we can race

  • do this motor fit in my civic?

  • it would definently fit but u would have to reroute alot of the wires and pipes plus probabyly new engine mounts

  • probably new engine mounts??

  • ya because alot of the time a american engine wont match the factory foreign car mount.I found this out when my brother and me put a engine from a totaled porsche into a toyota. i know that not a foreign and american car mixed but you get the point just to save you the hastle of takin them out and fining out the hard way

  • lol your kidding around with my right??? i was being sarcastic about the probably part...im 100% sure he would HAVE to change engine mounts

  • i thought u were asking a question i didn't know u were correcting me lmao

  • Too much fun, you guys are so entertaining. Thanks, I needed a good laugh!

  • He gets on offshore racing sites to get tuning info from the rich boys. I guess those guys have made their mistakes. Let's face it powersports are very expensive.

  • what is the name of the 1st song

  • The first song is called Tom Sawyer by Rush

  • whats that 2nd song?

  • The second song is called Fordamatic by the Pioneers

  • Great sound track and an even better truck.

  • that truck was bad ass. i mean look at the way it twisted the body on the dyno, now that is torque.

  • Macgayver...

  • damnnn niiiiice

  • I heard it has 1,000 hp. That has to be the most hp in any pre-runner I have ever seen

  • you need to get out more

  • hey whats the song called i cant remember

  • tom sawyer

  • RUSH! lol

  • BEASTY!!
