I don't really know much about guns at all, but what is the point in having such a large caliber magnum? The rounds must be expensive. It must be pretty fun to shoot though but for self defense, no. Mostly because it looks like a struggle to deal with the kicks. I'm interested in collecting weapons in the future when I get enough experience so I'm just wanting to learn about this gun in particular.

@killer76524 How would he arrange to fire an M4? The M4 has a burst lower receiver, and the M4A1 has a full auto receiver. In France the only way to easily get to shoot one is joining a unit that uses a M4/M4A1 carbine for deniability purposes.

Plus, the AR15 is 5.56 NATO so it won't be very common on ranges.
