It will be much more difficult to build a strong economy when we have the insurance industry taking 17% of our GDP - It is only rising...
The polls show the majority of the American people don't want this bill. If you invested as much time into revising our failed trade agreements maybe our economy would flourish. If they had revised them back in the 90s we wouldn't have lost well over 20 million jobs to foreign workers. It would not have been profitable for American manufacturing companies to move to foreign countries to take advantage of cheap labor.

The reason their sorry asses don't like it, is due to the millions they will loseWHEN reform passes. Now I hear some doctors will move or quit their pratice. Like we care. Just like an employee. They will be replaced. Doctors piss me off, because most of them took up the profession for the money period. I remember when I went toa hospital one day without insurance. The first thing the nurse asked for was insurance. Not am I ok, etc. After waiting for a long time I told them.

I told them if I'm not seen shortly. I will sue the doctor, the nurse, and the hospital under the 8th Amendment, and for the doctor not praticing the hippocratic oath. Funney how I was not only seen shortly after. But was not billed for another six months. The best part was it was even a serious cause. The moral is doctors have an obligation no matter what.

with today's competition, in today's world, we do not have the "luxury to deny the poor", when the rest of the world is building there people as a whole.
We need everyone at their best if we are going to compete and stand a chance in a future global market.

You are right here. Democrats are working hard to get rid of earmarks where appropriations have been made at the say so of congressmen without approval of an administration authority such as the Pentagon for military contracts.

I have heard over the last couple of days that there are not enough votes in the Senate to support any changes. So if the Democrat Congress wants to pass this bill THEY KNOW THEY PASSING IT AS IS meaning they They support everything in the bill The Louisiana purchase and the Corn Husker kickback . There are more than 50 votes in the Senate, a majority. That is all that is needed to make the changes you describe. They do not need any Republicans to pass this, and it looks as though they are not going to get any.

You read it right, 2nd 10y adds $1.5 trillion to deficit. Most Americans do not want this bill passed, but they will jam it through using reconciliation tactics and Chicago-style beatdowns, similar to the one carried out with Massa, a dem who is ousted bc he votes no to healthcare bill.
The President allows only union members to go to this charade. He lies several times stating it will lower costs, it is the same health care that congress gets, and insurance companies make obscene profits. Government programs never lower cost, it is not the same insurance that congress gets, congress is exempt from the bill, and insurance companies make an average of 2.7% profit. The Senate bill, which he is bent on passing will drive insurance companies out of business.
Obama has drawn on a lot of Republican thinking in the design of this plan. It is a plan to preserve private hospitals, private medical practice, and private insurance companies while still providing universal health care. Republicans refuse to support it or acknowledge contributing to it because they cannot reach across the aisle.
Democrats have more than 50 votes in the Senate, a majority. That is all that they need to take out the mistakes made to try to get cloture on this. They do not need any Republicans to pass it now, and it looks as though they are not going to get any

It's not going to reduce the national debt and it's not going to make everyone happy. Why don't you tell the 30 million or so people, be happy your going to have health care but you can't feed your family or you don't have a place to live. The polls show the majority of the American people don't want this bill. If you invested as much time into revising our failed trade agreements maybe our economy would flourish. If they had revised them back in the 90s we wouldn't have lost well over 20 million jobs to foreign workers. It would not have been profitable for American manufacturing companies to move to foreign countries to take advantage of cheap labor.

They will be replaced. Doctors piss me off, because most of them took up the profession for the money period. I remember when I went toa hospital one day without insurance. The first thing the nurse asked for was insurance. Not am I ok, etc. After waiting for a long time I told them.

I told them if I'm not seen shortly. I will sue the doctor, the nurse, and the hospital under the 8th Amendment, and for the doctor not praticing the hippocratic oath. Funney how I was not only seen shortly after. But was not billed for another six months. The best part was it was even a serious cause. The moral is doctors have an obligation no matter what.

(2) Cut $460 billion from Medicare.
(3) Rob $52 billion from SS.
(4) Rob $72 billion from long-term disability.
(5) Double count the above as bill cost offsets.
(6) Transfer $371 billion into another bill called Doc Fix.
Thus, the true cost is $2.3 trillion for first 10 years, not the democrats advertised $950 billion. This means ballooning the deficit.

The Democrats have come up with a bill that is very good news for the insurance companies and adds cost to American healthcare. Without a public option, the bill should scrapped. The cost of USA healthcare is double of any country per person and the quality of care is 33rd in the world. Further selling out to the insurance companies, is not the answer. The President allows only union members to go to this charade. He lies several times stating it will lower costs, it is the same health care that congress gets, and insurance companies make obscene profits. Government programs never lower cost, it is not the same insurance that congress gets, congress is exempt from the bill, and insurance companies make an average of 2.7% profit. The Senate bill, which he is bent on passing will drive insurance companies out of business.

In the Senate, Leader Reid cut deals and outbid the insurance companies for Senators from Louisiana and Nebraska. I have heard all the complaints and fears people are expressing. We have friends in Canada well satisfied with their medical care. FEAR is being used to make people not want this reform. You do realize the Government has NO MONEY. They get their money from taxes. Your taxs pay for every penny they spend. On all Government employees 70k ave salaries, the military, every welfare recipient, every medicare, medicaid , SCHIP, food stamp dollar,NASA, public works, federal highways, Parks, billions in foreign aid, billions wasted on pork projects and earmarks, corporate welfare, federal aid to states, farm programs, 88,000 state and local programs, 1000s more. How can progressive liberals say this bill will lower the deficit. Name one government program that is not in a deficit, save your breathe because you can't! Look up the CBO track record on predictions, because they have been wrong more times than right. You have a choice not to give your money to the greedy insurance companies, but under this bill, you will have no choice but to give your money to the big fat bloated federal government!
