I was at this game. I was only 8, and this is one of my fondest memories (of what I can remember, cause I've been going to flyers games since I was 6) in the Spectrum. Hextall was the man. I only wish he would have retired earlier so we didn't have to see him in his decline. Cause I also remember having to worry if the other teams offense was gonna shoot from the blue line and if Ron was gonna miss it again. He was one of the NHL's best though. And 2nd on the flyers only to Parent.

Yes Billy Smith certainly was an antagonist yet I think Hextall went out of his way to engage in fisticuffs more so than Billy. Although Billy did stand up for himself in a great fight with Lanny McDonald of the Leafs. Both goalies were great playoff performers and great competitors!

When I mentioned the new sweaters the Rebok products were what I was referring to. The problem with the new sweaters is that they have gotten away from the horizontal stripes at the bottom. Rebok said that they feel the vertical striping patterns have more of a modern look. Who the fuck cares what Rebok thinks. I still won't wear Rebok product because of their connection to the aerobics craze of the 80's. If Richard Simmons may wear it I don't want my Caps even remotely connected to it.
