  • AWESOME!

  • @apackerfan yes the horn really did go "beep beep"

  • @jackgtx440 sure did beep beep

  • I miss my Sapphire Blue 68' 383 Roadrunner (which, by the way, was not as fast as my MazdaSpeed 3 . . .)

  • @bman99ss I just inherited a 68 from a man in my neigborhood who passed. Beautiful car. Mine is actually the Sapphire blue with the 383. Sweet car to cruise in. Can't wait for the interior work to be done.

  • @musclekid13 Enjoy it, dude! (and take it to the track to see if it's running the way it's supposed to. Mine ran a best of 14.99 at a best trap speed of 94.33 . . . with headers)

  • @bman99ss I will for sure. I got lucky the guy had rebuilt the motor and had all the body work done, I just need new seats and some dash work. I plan to take it to the track in May. I don't know what would be best as far as performance for the 383. (i have been a chevrolet owner my entrie life) I know I could do some carb work and exhaust. Any suggestions?

  • Bob McKimson did the 1969 spot; this looked like Alex Lovy made it.

  • THATS MY FAV DREAM CAR oh what ide give just to sit in one <{)

  • @blackwolvesforever I owned a 69 hemi roadrunner when I was 17

  • Did the horn really go:; "beep beep?"

  • The Plymouth Road Runner's ALWAYS been my FAV of the late 60's Chrysler muscle cars. Chrysler did some pretty interesting cars back then.

  • The ROAD RUNNER & COYOTE cartoons from the 1960s relied heavily on sound effects from Hanna-Barbera and they were not directed by Chuck Jones. The last ROAD RUNNER theatrical cartoon was released in 1966 and by 1968 Warner Brothers was about to shut down it's cartoon studio since of it's original cartoon characters had all but disappeared from theaters.

  • The coyote represent the imports...

  • the coyote duster was a stripe package that was on the 70 model. went from the road runner decal and ran the lenght of the body and endd at or near the rear quarter panel.

  • No, the Coyote Duster was the name on the air cleaner starting in 1969 on Road Runners equipped with the air grabber cold air induction system. No cold air system was offered in 1968. I think the coyote duster name was gone by 1971 or 1972.

  • Ahh the one that started it all.

  • What a cutie when Wile E. coughs !

  • Is this why they nick-name the 1968 and 1969Runners "Coyote dusters?"

  • Yep, I believe the Coyote Duster was an performance options package for the Roadrunner model
