very good video, I liked it from a personal note. I was dating an Asian girl and I am black, but her parents didn't want us to date. Despite that we still remained friends but no relationship.
That was sad. I'm an African American in a relationship with an Asian-American woman and we are really just two people dating. Is it too difficult to find someone who's values are similar to your own to allow superficial differences as a barrier.
I think the message you're trying to put out is, the youth of today are more colorblind when it comes to dating. A very positive message and that you have accomplished in this piece. A draw back to it though is you've managed to cast a dark light on an old stereotype about Asian parents. Because not all older generation Asian parents are that way. I just hopes this helps you see it in a different light.
You don't have to take my advice, but I just wanted to suggest perhaps a happy ending to this story is a more positive message. I believe the way to address racism with your parents should be direct. You shouldn't be afraid to them that you're in love with someone from a different background. After all racism begets racism.

I don't understand why their are negative thumbs. What LVL95ForumTroll mentioned is, in most cases, true. I don't think ALL Asian families are racists, but I feel that a White man is normally second best as far as foreign relations in the US are concerned with Asian families.

very good video, I liked it from a personal note. I was dating an Asian girl and I am black, but her parents didn't want us to date. Despite that we still remained friends but no relationship.

That was sad. I'm an African American in a relationship with an Asian-American woman and we are really just two people dating. Is it too difficult to find someone who's values are similar to your own to allow superficial differences as a barrier.

I think the message you're trying to put out is, the youth of today are more colorblind when it comes to dating. A very positive message and that you have accomplished in this piece. A draw back to it though is you've managed to cast a dark light on an old stereotype about Asian parents. Because not all older generation Asian parents are that way. I just hopes this helps you see it in a different light.

You don't have to take my advice, but I just wanted to suggest perhaps a happy ending to this story is a more positive message. I believe the way to address racism with your parents should be direct. You shouldn't be afraid to them that you're in love with someone from a different background. After all racism begets racism.

I understand your point of view, and I respect and applaud your effort to make this world color blind. With that being said, I also understand you're not a film maker. For most people watching this video, we are left with a sense that Asian parents are racist or at the very least not open minded.

WOW. i'm surprised you thought the guy was white! haha actually he was hispanic, but that's irrelevant. gsvkck, what i was trying to prove was that the youth were colorblind. color was of no factor to their relationship, however the girls' parents interfered, and even when a new guy was introduced by her parents, she still wanted to be with her original boyfriend.

LOL, why are you stereotyping Asians to make a point about Black people? Some of the older generation parent are not very open to IR, however this applies to every race not just Asians. I think you're trying to address a valid issue however you've only managed to reinforce old stereotypes instead of helping the situation.

Blacks and Asians. The funny thing about this is that you really can't make a valid point based on interracial, cause it seems to me that the parents of the Asain American are more accepted to a white man then a black man, and that a proven fact. This could be a reason why you mostly see asains with white men, which is BS but that the way it is in your community.

Their was a video posted by a youtuber about interracial relation of
"why a black man dates out of his race" and also cover certain races wouldn't date blacks but have np with whites. One asian girl stated that fact, and that was that her parents will be more accepted to a white/asain but by no means blacks. The video didn't get too many responses so the user remove it, but I'm sure most asians are in this stated, and the funny thing is idk why.

Well in this case, it was the parents who had the problem. To the oldschool Asian generations, I would say that yeah-- culture is definitely a big variable as to why they don't like their kids to interracial date.
