This song is not Emo! It represents the concept that you must die to yesterday to live for tomorrow, Brent Smith directly says this about this song. .45 is a metaphoric symbol of the world. This song is so amazing especially the vocals and jasin's guitar. To die for. Just my opinion.

I agree the acoustic version of this song has a more sad melody, although the lyrics sound a tid bit slow. so it need some backup sound effects, hope I don't offend anyone but this is by far my favorite song by any band!

there is a version of leave a whisper with the acoustic 45 on it, they released two versions. I wouldnt know where to find it online, i ended up buying the second one for the song. i cant imagine its hard to find though. :p
