  • this block of joo se hyuk in 3:10 is really amazing!

he turns his attacking side (the red one) on his backhand, only for this time to block it near the table. Awesome!

  • I have 90 thumbs up and no top comment anymore??? :P

  • What the....? where is my top comment?? :(

  • what a shitty ass audience...

  • Always surprised to see how fast Joo Se Hyuk is. Wang LiQin still got a beast of a forehand after all these years though!

  • 12 people don't know what is going on.

  • I was the Looper No. 5 :P LOL

  • 1:39 Epic win

  • thumbs up if u think that wang liqin looks like bruce lee

  • With what pimpels does Joo se hyuk play?

  • @K05TJ4 Tibhar Grass D.Tecs 1,6 mm :)

  • Nossa que jogaaaaaaasso, Joo Se Hyuk, defende demais!!!Wang Liqin ataca MTO, mas na defesa, ele fica devendo um pouco!

  • Wang is amazing in the final set.

  • Sorprendente Joo Se Hyuk es, sencillamente, perfecto. Ataque defensa, picardia...Lo tiene todo, da gusto verle jugar.

  • @jerel42 Cho means attack or counterattack on the forehand or backhand side, and is also used in badminton and tennis.

  • Joo Se-Hyuk has the best defensive play I've ever seen.

  • 3:11 CHOOOOOO!!!!

  • Wow, I love watching Joo play. I'm not a chopper anyway, but his matches are the most fun to watch. He's amazing, and so many great points!

  • wang tried to give more loop in each and every top spin but den also he failed many tym

  • ok wtf is the blue shirt guy yelling everytime he won?

    "Char"

  • @CorrectionPen He is yelling "Cho!" which basically means "Yes!!". (Literally it derives from "good point", but in usage probably the best translation for Americans is "Yes!!".

  • GET TO THE CHOPPER!!!

  • defence player better!!!

  • Joo played good but Wang played better. The otherwise I like both :)

  • Thumbs upo if you're a Choer:D

  • Ok....finally I know which rubber and blade uses wang liqin...he uses the Stiga Rosewood NCT V, the hurricane 3 neo national version (blue sponge) on the FH and the provincial version of the tenergy 64 on the BH ;) 100 % SURE!!!

  • hmmmmmmmmm

  • @RandomStuffLookAts In the Videos of the 2011 World Championships you can see that Wang Liqin uses Stiga Rosewood NCT 5 (or NCT 7). Wang Liqin has played the Hurricane King and the special Hurricane 2 but after the speed glue interdict, he uses stiga calibra LT :-D really!! look after the Videos on ITTV :-D

  • @Kwonghun I use a tiga hammerlite.

  • What bat combination does everyone use?

  • @ReeceLo93 i'm not sure but I think Wang uses Stiga Rosewood NCT 5 and Stiga Calibra LT on both sides. You can see it in the videos of the World Championships in Rotterdam 2011:) I think Joo uses Butterfly Joo Se Hyuk DEF and Tibhar Grass D-Tecs on backhand and Tenergy 64 on forehand...hope I'm correct:)

  • So I played the Pro versions of Tenergy 05 , 64 of Tibhar Nianmor and Genius and some others, so I heard the sound . Its like a extremely Tuned Sound Rubber^^

you want to tell me that player like Timo Boll or Joo se hyuk use the same rubbers than the standardt player ??^^

You can be right with the feint long but in march Joo used a Grass d.tecs FT

    KJ

  • @KingJamal95 I'm very sorry about my words..you're right..Joo Se Hyuk plays Grass D.Tecs:-D:-D;-)

  • Thumbs up if you used antispin on your backhand, long pimples out on your forehand and was able to create top spin. XD

  • @Kingjamal95 and other rubbers^^

  • @KingJamal95 I know the properties and the sound of Feint Long 3 and Tenergy 64 I play them...and it seems that these Rubbers in the Video are the same...;D And Christian Süß said that Joo uses a Feint Long 3 ;D

  • Comment removed

  • @VidsforJMB @Kwonghun Joo does not use Feint Long .

He uses a special Tibhar Grass D-Tecs 1,6 mm ( I think Factory Tuned like all pro tenergy's =) hear that sound)

  • The way of the chopper:

    Chop, chop, chop,

send me a floater and I'll put it down your throat!

  • 3.15 epic twiddling skill :D

  • what rubber does joo use??

  • @VidsforJMB Forehand: Tenergy 64 2,1 mm Backhand: Feint Long 3 1,3mm :-D

  • @Kwonghun thanks!

  • Superb match from both players. Really good forehand defensive attack from for by Joo See Hyuk. Wang should have played the same way all the match where he placed one forehand loop each side.

  • joo has fast feet O_O

  • Thumbs up if you're a Chopper :D

  • I was the Chopper number 50! =D

  • @PappiBluess WOW 50 Choppers... I've never thougt that :-D

  • @Kwonghun i couldnt do thumbs up but thumbs up hah

  • adoro isso meu :D

  • LOL WANG LICKIN

  • @SDevitt89 It's actually pronounced Wang Li Cheen (the qin sounds like Cheen and li sounds like lee).

  • 1:17He played right into his hands.

  • Liqin never uses his backhand

  • I am now an attacking player but I'm not really getting the feeling of looping and stuff so I might buy the same stuff as joo and start choppin since barely anyone chops nowaydays in the youtghh competition, they're all focused on spinning and looping but chopping would win

  • best table tennis match in history :D in my opinion

  • you're the best joo :p

  • It amazes me how much spin and power they put on the ball. I mean, you see them hitting the ball back and forth (with great skill, don't get me wrong) but when they make a mistake in hitting, the ball goes FLYING. 0.0

  • Kind of interesting Wang is gettin his butt kicked in the earlier matches but all of a sudden turns around and starts kickin Joo's but.

  • Holy crap. These dudes rock. Joo has flawless defense technique. Wang doesnt yeild either.

  • Awesome defenses from Joo Se Hyuk!

  • Defensive play is definitely less efficient, but it's so fun to watch and if you can do it fun to play. I attempt to play like this. I'm a better two wing attacker but I really enjoy the exercise I get doing this. Also at my level it really doesn't matter. It's more difficult to get good at this style but really fun. If I were a junior or cadet though I would attack as much as possible. Attackers tend to win tournaments.

  • CHO

  • @wzhang14rmj What is 'Cho'? What's the translation?

  • @hkjkdsifu it's just what they say when they win a point, it has no exact translation, but it's something like 'Come on!!' or 'yes!'.

  • lucky backspinn balls but a good match

  • My TT coach often says that against a chopper, the longer the match drags on, the less likey you are to win it. Wan Liqin proved that wrong on this day. I still can't understand what happened in Joo's mind when he had a 4 point advance at 8-4..

Wang fought it back to 8 on, then miraculously finished him off.

  • XOOOOOOO!!!

  • 10 leute haben keine ahnung vom tischtennis ;)

  • Joo was almost World champion a few years ago. He got second place! And since he is a defensive player, its all the more impressive. The only reason defensive players don't win the big titles is because their style is more tiring. They run out of energy. Technically speaking, they could beat any offensive player. Defensive play is just better. They have more weapons. And their funner to watch!

  • What I love is that these shots have so much spin in them and progressively they get even more. Wang Liqin puts a ton of topspin and Joo uses that and adds his own backspin, spinning the ball even faster in the same direction making for a super spun ball! Awesome match!

  • er ist weitaus nicht so agil wie koji matsushita !!

  • It is great to watch my two favorite players battling.

  • @Enterfly No it isn't. Just joking etc.

  • @J0hnnyC00l Really funny!

  • dang... wang liqin is a BEAST in this game

  • wang liqin is awesome!

  • So impressive that he can chop with T64 on a Off- blade on his forehand...

  • i love the way joo is playing

i have the same playing style like him

  • Joo puts on a good show!

  • Joo's chops are loaded with backspin....

  • Wish KillerSpin would do an "analysis of a game" video with these two players.

  • are all korean choppers ?! o.o

  • @8DiKaan NO! Example OH plays attack Ryu and etc. :))

  • can someone teach Joo and Wang how to swear! You yell "FUCK!" when you miss a shot not "FO" or FOOO"! Damn fool!

  • @ancientpimp these guys arent english so why should they swear in english?

  • YouTube sucks, I keep searching but there's no video for sumo wrestlers playing pingpong!

  • @ancientpimp that shit is awesome

  • All games of Joo Se Hyuk are so funny :D

  • I like this matchup. An all-out offense player versus an unpredictable defender that isn't afraid to stick a few topspin wars in. And they're both around the same age (at least it seems like it).

If Joo se Hyuk started out as an attacker I think he might be on par with China's newest generation of TT players (Ma Long, Xu Xin)

  • any1 what was wrong with the serve at 2:10

  • @CoolDeano123

I think the ball came in contact with Liqin's jersey? Not sure.

  • @Nguhuan i was like why did he get the point nout wrong with it and i was thinking sid he throw it up 6 inches etc etc

  • @CoolDeano123

    hidden serve i'd say.

  • Absolutely excellent play coming off both sides of the table!!

  • @chichon36: better backhand spin is almost impossible becaus he plays with long(?) pipes on his backhand. it's possible to topspin then but very difficult . if he wants to block liqin's topspin you can also see that he also turns his bat otherwise the ball would almost always be in the net.and if he wants to topspin with his backhand he would always turn is bat so he would be to late to topspin.

all by all i can't get enough of this match! very nice match by both players!

  • filthy joo circumcised wang

  • Butterfly-players are the best!!! (Kreanga, Mizutani, Joo, Boll, Schlager...)

  • @Assassine8

    Good joke, LOL.

  • is it the camera or is the table smaller than usual?

plus the guy in the green hasnt got reflexes like a cat hes quicker

  • @1DARBY1 yea man the table is smaller than usual... Pro's play on smaller tables than us so they dont have to run as much as other people...

  • CHO means "yes"

  • @ppalavichkoo No, it doesn't. If you don't know the answer to a particular question, don't offer one.

  • WTF does CHO mean, wang keeps going "CHO!!" every point he wins.

  • @sammyd1993

    Yes.

  • @sammyd1993 "Cho" is the corruption of the Mandarin pronounciation for the Chinese world "Chiu", which means "Ball." Actually, "Chiu" is a contraction of the phrace "How Chiu" which means "Good Ball." So, "how chiu" ("good ball" became just "chiu" and from there got thoroughly corrupted to "cho". It's not unlike "God be with you" being corrupted to just "good bye" and we all forgot the origin.

  • @ 1:40 I would havd stopped the game and waited until the guy that screamed would had shown up just to give him the red card and get the hell out of the room

  • I don't see why everyone is so giddy about Joo. Wang played better and pulled through those pressure moments. In the last game, Joo was up four points and still couldn't win. Joo's style is fundamentally flawed. He gives up the initiative on purpose. To win you have to attack. You need to set the pace. Not follow in the rhthym of your opponent. If China is to have a real ping pong opponent, they need a player who can attack.

  • @Gilhfree I think Waldner from Sweden, in his prime, would beat Wang.

  • @ChessArmyCommander Keep in mind Waldner was primarily offensive. Waldner could play defense when neccessary but was a strong attacker. And don't sell Wang short. Wang has pulled some crazy points in his prime as well.

  • @ChessArmyCommander That's a really tough call. The game is different. Wang Liqin has been called the complete player, while waldner is the smartest player. I think WLQ's game has fewer weaknesses, and WLQ also has a BIG physical and athletic advantage, but Waldner is a smarter player than anyone. Idk, prime to prime I think I'd give it to WLQ with either the 40 or 38mm ball. If waldner is besting WLQ, it's with a 38mm ball only. 40mm and post glue ban, prime to prime WLQ all the way.

  • @3:55 LOL

  • Dang, Joo has got my respect o.0 He played soooooooo good, but Wang Liqin just was to good! Joo would have deserved the win!

  • 1 of the gr8est matches i've ever seen!!

does anybody know which blade joo se hyuk plays??

  • @tobiii999 Joo se hyuk plays with the custom Joo se Hyuk blade from butterfly and some people say he plays with the diode II

  • great game by bioth players.i wish joo had won the match

  • Man.. Joo improve a lot! Although Liqin is one favorite player, Joo deserves this one.

  • dang Joo cuts it, to return shots. Looks friggin difficult

  • no doubt he is a good chopper..his forehand counter far from the table awesome chops and backhand drive near the table whilst attacking make him one of the most decorated chopper =)

  • mr hyuk played very well. not to say liqin sucked

  • joo set up...

    FH : T64 2.1mm

    BH: Tibhar Grass D.Tecs 1.7mm

    blade: Diode

  • Joo se hyuk -> Super Junior

  • joo see hyuk is not a proper chopper....

    he DRIVES!!!!!!

not chop when the ball gets to his FH!!!!!!

  • his drives are what make him so good because drop shot does not work against him. watch him in WC 2003. Drop shots do not work because he is so strong on his forehand

  • @timlin1111 Nop... He Chop most of the times the ball get to his forhand... sometimes hi drives... and what a drive!!!

  • forehand he uses tenergy- backhand- feint 3 1.3.

how can he use 64 see the sound of his backhand rubber. he might use it now on both sides but not then

  • Joo actually improving his attacking power that I can see. However he still lack of any major win and the sun is setting ! : (

  • @utahjai

Do you know what kind of pips Joo uses?

  • According to butterfly site he uses Matsushita pro blade and both side Tenergy64 rubbers. I think he was using long pips on the backhand before.

May be that is why he attacks more now.

  • its now

    Matsushita Pro ALPHA( Arylate Fibre)+

    T64 and Feint Long 2

i wonder when he would get into XIOM's sponsership......

  • @utahjai He still uses long pips why else would he twiddle his blade.... Look close ;)

  • almost evenly matched...in their own way...

  • sau mega wie die da spielen

  • What happened at 2:10???

  • He didn't throw the ball high enough up in the air...

Or Maybe it hit his Shirt

  • Service block, Liqin accidentally hid the ball while he served. The point is given to Joo

  • Ball hit wang's shirt

  • Tout simplement exellent....

  • amazing game..

one of the greatest reasons why joo is a favorite..

  • wooh....the best topspin killer vs the best defence player...really a great match to watch...one of my favorites...peace yah all !

  • one of the best games ever...joo's defense and chops are amazing..makes the game really interesting since wang got superb offense

  • Joo is awesome! Absolutely incredible.

  • @mudda001: I couldn't have said it better myself!

  • thx bro.....lol

  • I like Joo's style..the way he does a defensive hit, then launches a counter smash at the opponent

  • totally right ;)

  • @1994Jett yea i like his way of play, it doesnt make him seem like much of a defensive player, more like an all round player

  • @1994Jett yeah, i agree, wish i could do that =/

  • @1994Jett it's entertaining... but there's no practical use... that guy loses 9 out of 10

  • @1994Jett Should I get a table tennis Schildkrot Waldner 600 Table Tennis Bat

or a Butterfly Timo Boll 500 Bat?

  • @98nfsmw98 It depends really, but I would choose the Schildkrot Waldner 600 Table Tennis Bat.
