@missmakeupification When you see "marching ants" around the border of your document, go to "Select > Inverse". It should solve it.

This also goes for anyone else having this problem.

this is just a tip for those who wanna do this reeeeeaaaaaaaaaaally nicely; dont use quick mask tool, use the pen tool and mark it all, then right click and click "make selection" will be the same result
