@SampleArtist91 Although they are pretty much Christian rock, they don't sound like your casual, bargain-bin Christian rock. Their musical style sort of reminds me of the band Hum.

@SampleArtist91 They are not, but their faith is in their music. Jon has gone far enough to say that "God doesn't need a promoter." So while there are indeed Christian elements in their music and lyrical references, they are not technically a Christian band. Like with U2.

@TheUltimateNoob001 well Jon Foreman does have solo stuff ( if u haven't heard any of it i suggest you do cuz its pretty good stuff) and i know that one of his songs are straight out the book of Isiah. but what i admire about Switchfoot is that their songs have Christian value, but are not explicit to Christians. I also know that they have covered some worship songs (I've heard only one though)

@MrJasiu42 I have heard Jon's solo work, and while it's great, I prefer Switchfoot's music. But your latter point is the one that I admire so much about them; their faith is in their music, but if you don't look for it, you'll only catch a little of it in the songs.

@DavidFracturedknee It's a black Gibson SG Special. Jon upgraded it by putting Grover tuners on it, a custom made full-body pickguard with Oh! Gravity graphics on it, and different pickups. I believe the pickups he put in were 489T and 490R just like the SG Standard, but I'm not sure. He has since smashed the guitar he used in this video...there's pics of it somewhere on the 'net. It was a sweet guitar.
