  • First album I got of theirs was Pale in 89' just before I left for basic. I got really introspective to their music. Then I got Bread and circus and realized just how talented they were. Lucky for me I got to see them in 91' at the Norfolk Boathouse. What times they were. This band is tight with Hootie and the Blowhards and they sometimes showed up on stage with them. Cracked Rear View was impressive but Toad is still here blowing our minds. What is up with that?

  • this song breaks my heart...

  • always good to have memories of seeing bands play dude :) ... i just got into guys recently starting with 'windmills' and 'walk on the ocean' theyre good!

  • @lexxm35 NICE, I got into them when I was 14 in '92 when walk on the ocean was on the rado, bought "fear," then allll their albums

  • I saw the video, to this song, a long time ago.

  • If you can find a copy of "Seven Songs Seldom Seen" it's on there.

  • in this song he kinda sounds like kurt cobain

  • This is actually from 1988

Their first album, called "Bread and Circus"

  • ialsoRAPEemos-

Yes, RECORDED in 1988, but RELEASED in 1989, I believe.

  • @JRNYman actually "Bread And Circus" was recorded in 1987 at Camp David, David Vaught's tract house studio in Thousand Oaks, CA. I have rough 1987 mixes from the sessions that the guys passed around to get gigs before the album was completed. the album was released in 1988 on cassette and sold at shows and Columbia signed the band in late 89 just after "Pale" had been recorded, and re-released "Bread And Circus" in late 89 just prior to issuing "Pale" in January of 1990

  • I love this song and I saw them in concert back in 1994.

  • one of the best bands of all time in my opinion!! Toad it up!!

  • @emmtampa amen to that!!! :) I have all 6 of their albums :)
