I never understood the purpose of these little group things anyways. Seems more like what those big "social club" churches do. A local church is a family. I have no problem spending time with anyone in my church. We spend enough time together and are so busy serving together that, quite frankly, something like this would be a major waste of time anyways.
There comes to a point when people should not whining about their "terrible afflictions", and get the the theology. So while this is somewhat funny, emotionalism is a problem, spotlight obsession is a problem, and if you really focus on the hardcore Bible and world truths those babies in Christ shall be left out and either give up or step up.
Wallowing in emotional ruts and "interventions" are commonplace when it comes to small groups. Unfortunately, real bible study is rare among them. I can't give this video thumbs up OR down because neither position presented is acceptable.
I really dont like emotionalism in a bible study its very annoying. But then I dont like superficiality either....cant we have a middle ground? Also I HATE HATE HATE bad theology at these groups some people shouldnt even be allowed to talk!
In fairness, I have a love/hate thing with small groups. They have their purpose, but when emotionalism becomes a requirement for the meeting, it's a turn-off (not to mention putting feelings above good Bible study). Honesty and open conversation is good; obsessing with "touchy-feely" stuff is not.
@Outrider74 The Bible says to confess your sins and lift one another up in prayer. How can you effectively lift each other up if you don't know what each other is going through. Fakeness in pretending that everything is okay and that you have no sins that you are struggling with is a major turn off for non-Christians exploring the Church (both big "C" and little "c"). Why would you want to be plastic and in doing so, turn people away from God?
@SerJahPhoto - It's James (jwissick) and his friends (or, more likely, sockpuppet accounts). He automatically votes down every Wretched video just because he hates Christians.

I find the lack of context that seems to be a theme for this channel slightly annoying.
