I'd recommend testing both mouses out yourself because they a very different feeling from each other. The R.A.T doesn't feel cheap (like some Mad Catz products have felt like) but it can take a while getting used to. Grip is great imo.

@1337soundeZ If you want your mouse to last, definitely the R.A.T - first mouse I've had that feels like it wont come apart.

Both the '09 and '12 Mamba's have one problem. The rubber "pad" under thumb - it starts to come off after a few months of heavy use. Mamba isn't up to the quality level it should be at for it's price in sense of durability, but it handles like a dream.

This mouse is under scrutiny on Amazon. They have pulled it to review it to see if they want to continue selling it. Apparently there is a very high failure rate as they tend to die within the first couple months of use.

Hey, I'm not exactly looking for a wireless mouse. I like it, it's a pretty cool design, and I sure hope I will be getting one soon. To be honest, I rather like mice with wires, and I'm interested if this thing comes with wire, or does it only come in it's wireless form.

@Bencethebest U can buy a Razer Mamba its a hybrid mouse aka its wireless and can also be used as a wired mouse....and also its a gaming mouse and has 5600 dpi....hope this helped...

This WOULD be the best mouse I've ever had, but there's one problem. The tracking laser is horrible. It doesn't cut it as a gaming mouse like it's designed to be.

@Antroz0197 the 6400 dpi would make it better but the rat 9 is more customisable and it looks nicer and you can even notice the difference from 5400dpi to 6400dpi so i would go with the rat 9 for the best gaming experience.

I have had the RAT 9 for about 2 months now, and I am honestly tired of swapping the battery every 6-8 hours or so. It is easy to see that the battery is going empty because the dpi-LED is blinking. I would very much like the batteries to have at least an amount of power for 24 hour gaming. If Logitech can make gaming-mice that can last for several months, why can't Cyborg? Otherwise the mouse is outstanding. And no, no settings is lost when swapping the battery.

Great video. While doing heavy, constant gaming, how long does the battery last before needing to swap it out for the spare, charged battery. Also, when swapping out the batteries, will the user lose their pre-programmed profiles or will the profiles have to be reloaded.
